BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston Will Play Zordon In The POWER RANGERS Reboot (Really)
You didn't see this one coming, eh? Breaking Bad and Godzilla star Bryan Cranston has confirmed that he'll play the mentor to the team in the reboot, and more details can be found after the jump..
Lionsgate has cast a bunch of unknowns for their Power Rangers reboot, but we always knew that some familiar faces would end up playing some of the older characters in order to make it a more star studded affair. Elizabeth Banks has been chosen to play the villainous Rita Repulsa, and now Bryan Cranston has confirmed that he'll be taking on the role of the team's holographic mentor, Zordon.
In the original series, Rita trapped Zordon in a time warp thousands of years ago, but his robot assistant Alpha 5 was able to communicate with him and build a base from which the hero could mentor his newly recruited Power Rangers. An actor of Cranston's calibre playing this character is certainly pretty exciting, and it's going to be interesting to see what he brings to the table here.
