Peter Jackson's first chapter in his Hobbit trilogy opens in just two weeks and with that comes a slew of new trailers from some of 2013's most anticipated films. These include Zack Synder's Man of Steel and J.J. Abrams Star Trek Into Darkness, now Alberta Film Ratings have revealed the official running-time for the latter trailer. For those of you hoping for a full-length two minute trailer, you may be disappointed because it seems that the trailer will clock in at just over a minute.
In Summer 2013, pioneering director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness. When the crew of the Enterprise is called back home, they find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization has detonated the fleet and everything it stands for, leaving our world in a state of crisis. With a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction. As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
Directed by J.J. Abrams, and starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Alice Eve, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood and Peter Weller, Star Trek Into Darkness is set to hit theatres on May 17, 2013.
