The Producers over at Paramount promised that Star Trek Insurrection was going to be the biggest and best Star Trek film yet. Unfortunately the final product churned out became one of the worst in the franchise. Its so strange watching this film and knowing that the folks who made the solidly entertaining First Contact made this one. Insurrection is filled with plot holes,  horrible CGI, cheap set design, and direction so flat that it makes you want to fall asleep.

The big problem in a lot of these Star Trek movies is that the stakes never feel that high. With Insurrection that certainly is the case. The situation doesn't feel dire enough to where the entire universe was threatened. It just seems as if this Star Trek film was slapped together quickly to beat Star Wars to the theaters. (And Paramount should have waited another year to develop the story because this is terrible). Full review below:

So what did you think of Star Trek Insurrection?
Where does it rank in the franchise for you?

I'm not a huge Comic Book Geek, but the super hero movie genre has always excited me, and always will. I do not enjoy when people argue over CBMs like they're a religion, but i guess thats how most movie geeks are.

oh and if i had to really pic a side,
i mean really really really had to, then
DC, baby :)

but i really don't care about which is best. they both make me happy
