I don't think even the most hardcore Trekkie -- or Trekker..whatever you prefer! -- would try to argue that all of the movies featured above are top notch (or even middle notch for that matter) but there's no denying that when Star Trek was at its best it was something special. Star trek 2 the wrath of khan was the best trek movie hands down. The worst were the next generation movies they all sucked pretty bad.

I know it's the obvious choice,but that's cops it's the best:) Wrath Of Khan for me. Also loved Search For Spock, The Voyage Home. Was never a big fan of the stick-up-their ass Next Generation crew. The series was great but for some reason all of their movies (with the possible exception of First Contact) pretty much sucked.

Didn't mind Data, just the rest of the crew really. I mean can anyone remember ANYTHING that Riker did? Ever? Aside from sit down awkwardly on chairs?

Clearly this guy didn't watch ST:First Contact, which is right up there with WOK as the best ST movie.

He turned down serveral commands of his own to stay on the enterprise. He took command of the enterprise & defeated Picard (Locutus) during the Borg encounter. And let's also not forget that Riker, much like Picard had a space maneuver named after him. Oh and he also helped Zefram Cochran during his initial warp flight(granted via time travel). And finally it was pretty much the Kirk of TNG crew, screwing anything that moved including a genderless species. So I'd say he did quite a bit, but other than that he is kind of forgetable.

I saw Star Trek today....is was spectacular!!!!!!

Star Trek II Wrath of Khan is still the best then these new ones!

Really enjoyed the film! Better than the first (and most of the older ones, except Wrath of Kahn)!!!

Coming from a big Star Wars and Star Trek fan!!

JJ now has my full confidence in Star Wars Episode VII!!

@AustinFan4Life: Picard with Data's help defeated the Borg both times. Without Picard's assimilation and knowledge gained by it, the Federation would have been assimilated.

Well that is partially true, but remember in Best of Both World Parts I & II(well at least starting at the end of part I) Picard was the villain. Picard didn't break from the Collective until near the end of Part II. Prior to that Picard(as Locutus) was responsible for the destruction of thirty-nine starships, with a total loss of nearly 11,000 lives(according to Star Trek's wiki).

Picard was The Borg's greatest strength & without his help, The Borg wouldn't have destroyed the entire fleet in a matter of minutes like it did. It wasn't until the Enterprise under the command of a field promoted Captain Riker(he later returned to the rank of Commander so he could stay aboard the Enterprise instead of taking his own command of another ship), that The Borg would find it's defeat. remember Data was still following order, even though it was his suggestion to hack into the collective under Picard.

The 2nd encounter with The Borg, Picard with Data's help....definitely gets the credit, but Starfleet's first encounter, is definitely credited to Riker.

Dude yes, I'm so glad to see love for Search For Spock.

Commander Kruge was the best Klingon villain of all time.

The badass green Kingon-bird-of-prey ship made its debut

The crew sacrifice everything for the sake of saving their friend

Spock's mind is stored inside Bones. Hilarity ensues.

Mark Leonard came back as Sarek and it was epic

Kirks battles Kruge on the exploding planet, 20 years before Goku and Frieza.
