STAR WARS EPISODE VII Jedi Academy Rumor Has Been Debunked

Yesterday a new report surfaced on a possible filming location that could double(again) as Yavin 4, where Luke would set up a new Jedi Academy. However, now the report is being debunked by the same person who started the rumor.

Some intriguing possible plot details surfaced yesterday from Reuters, who said they got some information regarding possible plot details for Star Wars Episode VII. The report by, Mike McDonald, said that the Guatemalan rainforest that George Lucas used in Episode IV as Yavin 4 would be making a return to the big screen, only this time it would be where Luke Skywalker sets up the new Jedi Academy. However, McDonald himself has debunked the rumor saying that he misunderstood what he was told.

Said McDonald:

"This was a mistake. I misunderstood what fan clubs had told me and shown me in book plots and that storyline has not been announced by Disney. Perhaps I should have written something along the lines of ‘Yavin 4 appears in several Star Wars book plots and while Guatemala fans said they hope film crews return to Tikal, the company has not announced plans for the new episode."

So it looks like we will have to wait a little longer on information about the film. Rumor has it, that we will be hearing something regarding who might be directing the movie sometime in January. Maybe then we might get some plot information. For the latest on Star Wars make sure to check back here at CBM.
