STAR WARS EPISODE VII Targeting Summer 2015 Release; Another Movie Every Year After That

Some nice confirmation from CinemaCon here. Disney/Lucasfilm announced that J.J.Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII should be with us in the Summer of 2015, and we'll see another Star Wars flick every year moving forward!

We had heard rumors of multiple standalone Star Wars movies to go along with the new trilogy on many occasions, but today at CinemaCon in Las Vegas Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm announced that we will actually be getting a movie a year, after Star Wars: Episode VII hits in the Summer of 2015. We knew standalone movies were planned, but we didn't know that many were! It's a safe bet that most of the characters we've heard rumors about getting a spin-off actually are...and many more besides. This seems like a massive undertaking, and obviously they are counting on the first film in the new trilogy being a success first and foremost, but something tells me we won't have too much to worry about in that regard.
