Star Wars: The Force Awakens established that Han Solo and Leia Organa hadn't been together for some time, with Ben Solo's transformation into Kylo Ren what seemingly drove them apart. Thankfully, they did have at least a few happy years together after Return of the Jedi, and it was shortly after that movie they got married.
While Kylo Ren would eventually kill his father, it was Leia who brought her son back from the Dark Side. Unfortunately, that came at the cost of her own life.
In the new novel Star Wars: The Princess and the Scoundrel, author Beth Revis revisits happier times in Han and Leia's relationship, including the couple spending their honeymoon aboard the luxurious Halycon ship. If that name rings a bell, it's because the ship is the Galactic Starcruiser that you can book for $6000 a night at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
This is certainly one way to increase interest in the hotel, as we're sure some cosplayers will be keen to relive that period in Han and Leia's lives.
Now, thanks to Variety (via SFFGazette.com), we have a first look at Leia's wedding dress. In the book, it's described as "a gown made of soft meadow green, embroidered with flowers similar to the ones bedecking the outside of the temple. It hung loose over her body, yet it wasn’t shapeless. The sides were open, giving her space to move her legs and expose the laces of her white fur boots that went all the way up to her knees."
"She held a bouquet of wildflowers tied with the same bit of lacing woven in her hair, and Han suspected that Leia had picked the flowers just before she’d climbed the ladder to the temple," the excerpt continues. "Leia’s long hair hung in loose waves down her back, with two small braids framing her face to keep locks out of her way. She wore flowers but no jewels. She looked more nymph than princess."
