Star Wars: The Force Awakens established that Han Solo and Leia Organa hadn't been together for some time, with Ben Solo's transformation into Kylo Ren what seemingly drove them apart. Thankfully, they did have at least a few happy years together after Return of the Jedi, and it was shortly after that movie they got married.

While Kylo Ren would eventually kill his father, it was Leia who brought her son back from the Dark Side. Unfortunately, that came at the cost of her own life.

In the new novel Star Wars: The Princess and the Scoundrel, author Beth Revis revisits happier times in Han and Leia's relationship, including the couple spending their honeymoon aboard the luxurious Halycon ship. If that name rings a bell, it's because the ship is the Galactic Starcruiser that you can book for $6000 a night at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

This is certainly one way to increase interest in the hotel, as we're sure some cosplayers will be keen to relive that period in Han and Leia's lives.

Now, thanks to Variety (via SFFGazette.com), we have a first look at Leia's wedding dress. In the book, it's described as "a gown made of soft meadow green, embroidered with flowers similar to the ones bedecking the outside of the temple. It hung loose over her body, yet it wasn’t shapeless. The sides were open, giving her space to move her legs and expose the laces of her white fur boots that went all the way up to her knees."

"She held a bouquet of wildflowers tied with the same bit of lacing woven in her hair, and Han suspected that Leia had picked the flowers just before she’d climbed the ladder to the temple," the excerpt continues. "Leia’s long hair hung in loose waves down her back, with two small braids framing her face to keep locks out of her way. She wore flowers but no jewels. She looked more nymph than princess."

Take a closer look at Leia's wedding dress below and let us know what you think in the comments section. You can also find all the latest Star Wars updates over at our sister site SFFGazette.com.

@supermanrex - what? Don't be so easily triggered, Lol. Let me know how that 6000 a night hotel is.

And [frick] yeah, I love star wars, especially now they're bringing some of the expanded stuff back into canon.

More Corporate Fake Fiction for the comedy sweet

@TheJackAss - Can you please define your term "fake fiction"?
TheSuerJackAss
TheSuerJackAss - 8/31/2022, 11:19 AM
@Drace24 - Well normally people would use "Fan Fiction" in situations like these. But since none of the people at Disney / LucasFilm or anyone with any connections are actually fans Fan Fiction does not apply with Disney's Star Wars
Drace24
Drace24 - 8/31/2022, 1:07 PM
@TheJackAss - Neither makes sense. "Fake fiction" is a redundant pointless term and since LucasFilm is in charge of the official canonicity, whether you like their stories or not, they are by definition not fan fiction.

TheSuerJackAss - 8/31/2022, 1:50 PM
@Drace24 - In MY world & in MY opinion its fake fiction end of story
Drace24
Drace24 - 8/31/2022, 4:52 PM
@TheJackAss - This is not your world, nor are you stating an opinion. You are making a statement of fact, in this case an objectively incorrect one.
TheSuerJackAss
TheSuerJackAss - 8/31/2022, 4:55 PM
@Drace24 - For MR in MY opinion none of Disney's Star Wars is canon. iT WILL NEVER BE CANON & REY WILL NEVER BE A SKYWALKER. No matter how much Kathleen Kennedy may scream it out loud dramatically
Drace24
Drace24 - 8/31/2022, 5:00 PM
@TheJackAss - You're the only one screaming dramatically, buddy. Probably because this is not up to you.
TheSuerJackAss
TheSuerJackAss - 8/31/2022, 5:03 PM
@Drace24 - Yeah it is canon is what I personally buy & support & its none of this crap
Drace24
Drace24 - 8/31/2022, 5:25 PM
@TheJackAss - As adorable as your wishful thinking is, that is not how canonicity works. Canon is what the storytellers establish as such, so that everyone is on the same page over what the story is. If you just refuse to accept that reality, like a child throwing a tantrum in a toy store, then by all means knock yourself out. Always funny to look at. But then whatever your version of Star Wars canon is would be fake and fiction - which are synonyms.
TheSuerJackAss
TheSuerJackAss - 8/31/2022, 5:33 PM
@Drace24 - Whats fake is Disneys Star Wars its not even fan fiction end of story
Drace24
Drace24 - 8/31/2022, 5:50 PM
@TheJackAss - You can say "end of story" all you want. No amount of self-soothing will change the reality that Disney's movies are officially canon. I'm afraid you will have to live with that.
TheSuerJackAss
TheSuerJackAss - 8/31/2022, 5:52 PM
@Drace24 - I am living with it as its not canon in my world. It wont ever be welcomed in my house its pretty sweet
Drace24
Drace24 - 8/31/2022, 6:05 PM
@TheJackAss - Again. Not "your world". Not up to you. Bummer.

But hey, what an alpha move to be so demonstrably wrong about something so petty with so much unearned confidence. Happy living a lie, I guess. XD
TheSuerJackAss
TheSuerJackAss - 8/31/2022, 6:07 PM
@Drace24 - How am I wrong ? Its an opinion. In my opinion this all sucks & it is not canon. In MY WORLD & MY OPINION IT ALL SUCKS & IT IS NOT CANON XD.
Drace24
Drace24 - 8/31/2022, 6:30 PM
@TheJackAss - This is not up to your opinion. Is that so hard to understand? I would ask you to learn the difference between objective reality and subjective opinions, but since you seem close to having an emotional breakdown over some movies, I guess that's not going to happen anytime soon.
TheSuerJackAss
TheSuerJackAss - 8/31/2022, 6:31 PM
@Drace24 - If anyone is having an emotional breakdown its you that cant handle the fact that people can have their own opinions
Drace24
Drace24 - 9/1/2022, 3:53 AM
@TheJackAss - I really wonder why this is so difficult for you. You can absolutely have your own opinion. Wether or not you like those movies for example. That's an opinion. Whether or not they are canon however is NOT an opinion, cuz that's an objective fact that is completely outside of your control, just like the color of the sky or the wetness of water. When you just refuse to accept that these things are what they are, you are simply wrong! And there are certainly some opinions to be had about you.

@TheJackAss - I'm glad you agree with me now. Don't worry, you can always work on your own severe shortcomings as a person and learn to do better. After all rejecting all that anger and vitriol that clouds your judgment is very much within the spirit of the franchise that you theoretically love and claim to understand.
Goodbye and best wishes!
