In the vid below you'll find out all you need to know about Sabine, the Ghost's resident weapons expert who also happens to be Mandalorian - just like Boba Fett.

"She's definitely one who's turned against the Empire and that's going to be to the Rebels' benefit," executive producer Dave Filoni tells THR. "She's adding something that we haven't really seen before in the Star Wars universe. You have a character that is expressively creative through art -- whether it's the color of her hair or what she's done to her armor."

"Star Wars Rebels’ continues the epic tradition of the legendary ‘Star Wars’ saga with all-new exciting, action-packed adventures. It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire tightens its grip of power from world to world. As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people.

But there are a select few who are brave enough to stand up against the endless Stormtroopers and TIE fighters of the Empire: the clever and motley crew of the starship “Ghost.” Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, have thrilling adventures, and become heroes."

Star Wars Rebels will be with us in the Fall on Disney XD.

This show is looking really good

It's not bad IMO. She's different from a lot of Mandalorians which is a good thing, it shows that Mandalorians are B.A's with actual personalities.

I think this show will be good (mostly because anything Greg Weisman touches is gold). And it's going back to the Original trilogy roots which made SW great.

Star Wars used to be my favorites but I have lost some love since a while

I really don't know what to expect from that show...

People are gonna freak out (in a good way) if they show David Oyelowo as the Inquisitor.

@TheClemster I think that's one of the good thing about Disney owning Lucasfilms, is that they are trying to restore the love that was lost by some fans since the prequels by returning to the Original roots.

A pink mandolorian who likes to make graffitis... this is what happens now that Disney has bought Star Wars?! Sheesh!

@Highball I don't think Mandalorians view color the same as we do.

White, Black, Blue, Pink, Purple, Green it doesn't matter. It's Mandalorian armor, no matter what the color.

@ndwwrestler2 - I see what you're saying. I just think this is an obvious attempt at appealing to the young girls demographic. It feels corny as hell to me.
I don't think something like this would fit in the Star Wars I loved as a child.
This feels like Disney went in and said: we need a character to get girls to watch our show!
I don't mind the character description so much, it's the visual design that's way too young girls friendly to me. She'd be the laughing stock of the mandolorians.

ndwwrestler2 - 2/19/2014, 10:37 AM
I think my only concern isn't that this show will be kiddy, but that this show will actually be replaced with a kiddy show after Episode 7 comes out.
ndwwrestler2
ndwwrestler2 - 2/19/2014, 10:39 AM
@Highball And if the history of Mandalorians mean anything, there will be fights.

When I see her armor, I almost want a scene where someone is laughing at her armor and she knocks him out. After that nobody would talk ish about her armor and she would immediately become our favorite character.

pesmerga44 - 2/19/2014, 10:39 AM
@ndw

I don't mind a female Mandalorian badass but you have to admit the pink armor is somewhat off putting. She is a female so what why does her armor need to be pink there is a real world ideal that pink=female and since she is female she must have pink armor. Her armor could really be a multitude of colors blue, green, red, yellow, white but they choose pink I think it was a bad choice.
ndwwrestler2
ndwwrestler2 - 2/19/2014, 10:42 AM
@pesmerga44 I see what your saying. They're obviously appealing to young females.

But if she can wear pink and still be B.A, I can get on board.

Is it me? Or does it look like a Dire Wolf on her left shoulder? I wonder if the artists for the show are fans of Game of Thrones?

My 6 year daughter wants a Mando outfit in pink. As long as the message is good and it brings my daughter into StarWra, I'm on board.

I think you're right.
wookiefit
wookiefit - 2/19/2014, 11:09 AM
My only pet peeve is that she hates the Empire and joins the rebellion. That's not what a Mando does. A Mando works for pay, until the contract is done.
ndwwrestler2
ndwwrestler2 - 2/19/2014, 11:13 AM
@wookiefit76 Or they fight a worth enemy, which I think the Empire would definitely qualify as such.

ndwwrestler2
ndwwrestler2 - 2/19/2014, 11:29 AM
@RynerLute People will complain that it's not as good as Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

I agree this show screams O.T all the way. Personally I love the Clone Wars, but as a Original Trilogy fan (and a huge fan of Greg Weisman), I believe I will love this show.
nach1wan
nach1wan - 2/19/2014, 11:39 AM
a mandalorian in rebels, thats good, goood

@RynerLute already there are people that would prefer that rebels fails as if that would bring the clone wars back
RynerLute
RynerLute - 2/19/2014, 11:50 AM
This show feels like a KOTOR game except set in the original timeline if that makes sense. Maybe one of those O's should be an N I suppose.

I just love the concept of seeing the early days of the Rebel Alliance, especially because as a kid it always confused me in A New Hope, how they got a Rebellion together so fast in time to destroy the Death star.

As an adult it made sense , but then another question like, how did the Rebels fight the Empire up til this point before Luke and Han came into the picture?

Now we'll arguably get to witness all of that.

I know people will bitch because some Games had Starkiller as a founding member of the Rebel Alliance in his games, but I think there's still a good chance Kanan or Ezra goes over to the Dark Side and becomes a canon Starkiller.

@Magic8Ball: He is a pure clone of Jango though therefore a Mandalorian. Are you saying that if you were a clone of your father that you would not be an earthling or human or black or white or whatever?
StarkAnthony
StarkAnthony - 2/19/2014, 12:03 PM
I thought the Mandalorians were human? Sabine looks really yellow, in a not in the range of human skin colors way. Or is it just me?
ndwwrestler2
ndwwrestler2 - 2/19/2014, 12:08 PM
@StarkAnthony Actually not all of them are human. Aliens are accepted in her their ranks as well.

And she's human. It might be the lighting that makes her seem otherwise.

hench - 2/19/2014, 12:09 PM
A Mandalorian would not wear pink armour, kid show or not lol.
ndwwrestler2
ndwwrestler2 - 2/19/2014, 12:12 PM
@hench I don't think a Mandalorian cares what color the Armor is.
WackyBantha
WackyBantha - 2/19/2014, 12:13 PM
According to the Mandalorian arc on season 2 of The Clone Wars, Jango Fett is not a Mandalorian. He is just a bounty hunter who stole the Mandalorian armor.
ndwwrestler2
ndwwrestler2 - 2/19/2014, 12:15 PM
@WackyBantha The only person I heard say that Jango wasn't a Mandalorian was one of Satines advisors, but he didn't even believe that Death Watch were serious Mandalorians either, So I don't think that's true.
wookiefit
wookiefit - 2/19/2014, 1:41 PM
@ ndwwrestler2

Couldn't find the pic, but there is a Star Wars Tales (near the end of the run)that has a story of Vader crashing is TIE Advance after the destruction of the original Death Star. He ends up fighting a pack of wolves and becomes their new pack leader. Then lets them attack the Moff on that planet. I wonder if it's the same wolf species?
