Star Wars: The Last Jedi will introduce us to a lot of new parts of this Galaxy Far, Far Away and that's going to include a visit to Canto Blight, the home of underworld slicer DC. Played by Benicio Del Toro, we don't know what to expect from this character yet (other than there being lots of fan theories about his identity) but a brand new image of him has now been revealed courtesy of Empire Online.

"This character could come straight out of a Bob Dylan or Tom Waites song, or even a Dostoyevsky novel," says Del Toro. "He’s like something out of Dickens; there have been characters like him in all kinds of literature. He’s like a knife: if you grab him by the blade, he’ll cut you. If you grab him by the handle, he can be very, very useful." So, DJ definitely sounds like a pretty fella intriguing then!

We'll have to wait and see what he brings to Star Wars: The Last Jedi but there's not long to go now. Tell us, what are you most excited to see from this movie? Share your thoughts on that down below.

They've said DJ is not his actual name, right?

Or am i just imagining that?

@MattBellissimo - You mean like a codename that's not gonna be used in the actual movie, like a project name? From what I understand, he will be called DJ in the movie, but obviously it will be his hacker handle. People have been speculating he's actually Ezra from Rebels (as if they would bring characters from an animated show, however amazing, to the big screen). Ryan Johnson confirmed on Good Morning America that wasn't the case, but that "DJ stands for something".

@Asturgis - Thanks, that clears it up.

@MattBellissimo - It really doesn't lol but it's the best I got. I checked the Good Morning America thing with a quick search before posting, because I didn't remember the name of the show, and didn't see anything clear, but I imagine if DJ "stands for something", then it's more than a codename used on set. Probably his initials, beginning of his prison number when he was in jail, something like that.

I love how Disney integrates actors into its family. It’s like once you’ve made it into a Star Wars, Marvel, or Live action/animated Disney film, you’re pretty much guaranteed a spot in the other franchises.

Donald Glover was in Spider-Man and Lion King, Idris Elba was in Thor and Zootopia and Jungle Book, Ben Mendelsohn was in Rogue One and now Captain Marvel, etc., etc.

It’s like one big, cross-pollinating family (aka Alabama)
