STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Concept Art Reveals Another Take On Daisy Ridley's Dark Rey

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker featured a lot of, well, weird moments, but that Dark Rey tease was particularly unusual. Now, though, a newly revealed piece of concept art offers a much cooler take...

When "Dark Rey" was revealed in one of the trailers for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, fans understandably started losing their minds. The implications of that were huge, but the disappoinment surrounding what ended up on screen was arguably even more noteworthy last year.

Dark Rey ended up appearing in a blink and you'd miss it vision when the Jedi visited the remains of the Death Star II, and while Emperor Palpatine tried to tempt his granddaughter to the Dark Side, that was ultimately only a very small part of the movie and not something which was ever touched on in a particularly meaningful or noteworthy manner.

Well, some newly revealed concept art from The Rise of Skywalker offers another take on this evil version of Rey, and it definitely appears as if we could have seen a much better version of her on screen (without the bogus looking fangs which made her look like a low-budget vampire).

With the "Art of" book set to be released soon, we can probably expect to see more concept art like this, and it will definitely be interesting finding out how many iterations Dark Rey went through.

Seeing as how I never saw this movie, everything I see and hear about it just makes me sad.

They really should've gone for a dark side Rey. That would've been really interesting

They got Rey looking like Karen Black in "Trilogy of Terror."
