STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER "Dark Side Rey" Lightsaber Replica Reveals A Detailed Look At The Weapon

One of the most shocking moments in the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer came when we got to see an evil version of Rey. Now, a replica of her lightsaber has been revealed and it's seriously cool!

Disney and Lucasfilm haven't shied away from revealing some big moments in the trailers for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, including a Dark Side Rey who appears to have given into her darker impulses. We'll find out next week whether that's just a vision or something more but EFX Collectibles has now revealed a replica of her impressive new lightsaber.

Limited to 750 pieces worldwide, this replica is based on a detailed study of the actual prop and reference materials supplied by the Lucasfilm production team. This lightsaber is screen accurate not only in the geometry, but down to the detailed weathering, as well. Also, the hinge mechanism is the same one that was used in the actual prop which is particularly impressive.

As we mentioned, we have no idea whether Rey really will be turned to the Dark Side or how much screentime this lightsaber will have. Cheaper replicas are bound to be released in the coming months and years but whether they'll be anywhere near as impressive as this is hard to say.

What do you guys think of this new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker merchandise?

@Necropolitan - I honestly don’t know, I saw this on a Facebook group a while back. I’m definitely interested in seeing the whole thing. Porn or not it looks good.

Why do lightsabers actually cut things instead of just melt them? I mean, let's be real: they're just glowing melt sticks.

@BountyCipher - But they don't have edges so how are they actually cutting anything?

Really reminds me of a lightsaber pike, which always had been the weapon I expected her to end up with.

Also, I just rewatched The Force Awakens. And to be honest it was quite good, aside from a few minor complaints

Ive been annoyed by the popularity of double bladed lightsaber after all that cross guard controversy. Seriously, hows the cross guard, something used in real life for swords, impractical but a double bladed weapon that requires you to have a blade facing you with every strike completely ok?

This lightsaber will get about as much screen time as J.K. Simmons in Justice League... or less.

That newest clip they released of Palpatine saying all that stuff to Kylo about voices in his head, am I nuts or does anyone else think the middle voice (saying the "you have ever heard" part) sounds like Liam Neeson, as in Qui-gon??
I know narrative-wise that wouldn't make any sense at all, that they were clearly going for a Palpatine-Snoke-Vader progression, but I swear to god the first time I heard it I totally thought the portion that Andy Serkis was apparently doing as Snoke sounded like Neeson.

I have the Vader, Maul, and Kylo Ren lightsabers. Might need to add this one to the collection as well.

@Jimster - I beat mine already but still plenty of shit to unlock. Don’t worry about saber beam colors . You unlock them all at the same time when your about 70% done with the game
