Now that the first trailer has finally been released, Lucasfilm is pulling back the curtain on Solo: A Star Wars Story in a big way. The latest material to find its way online are the books which will start hitting stores from May onwards to tie into the movie in various ways. There will be companion novels, comic books, encyclopedias, "art of" collections, and more, all of which should be a must-buy for fans.

Regardless of whether or not you're interested in checking these out, though, they all provide a fresh look at Solo and the many characters who will make their respective presences felt in the spinoff.

From the lead characters to possible villains, creatures, spaceships, and Stormtroopers, there's a lot to talk about here and you just need to click below to check out the gallery in its entirety. Will these get you any more excited for Solo? That's hard to say but it's hard to escape the feeling that this movie could end up exceeding expectations despite the negativity which has surrounded the movie!
