In an interview with MTV News, Michael Cera reveals that Scott Pilgrim Vs The World might be the only film that brings the comic character to life. When asked about the possibility of a film franchise he said,

"I don't know about that. That's hard to say because the movie encompasses the whole graphic novel series."

Comic movie fans know that the end of a graphic novel series doesn't necessarily mean the end of movie possibilities. Just look at the upcoming sequels to 300 and Wanted.

A further complication could be that Cera isn't signed on for any sequels; though that could easily change depending on the movie's box office success.

Downtrodden news aside, Cera went on to talk about a particular action scene that had him marveling:

"There's an amazing fight between Mae Whitman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead where they're using these weapons, and it's really amazingly done," he said regarding the sequence that pits Roxy Richter against Ramona Flowers.

"And, there are some other things, like battles with music in it and the sword fighting. There's all sorts of different things."

MPP - I wasn't a fan of the Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series. I think it had to do with the artwork; I just couldn't get into it. That being said, I like the cast in this movie and I have hope that it will be very entertaining to watch.

Besides, Seeing MAry Elizabeth Winstead in a chick fight is worth my hard earned eight dollars any day!

MULTI!

first of all, I think that Pilgrim is meant to NOT seem like the ass kicking type in the book.

Second of all, a million years ago on another thread you suggested that I read Green Lantern Secret Origin, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

That book totally ruled and has made me an instant fan of the new Green Lantern series and Geoff Johns. YOU DA MAN!!! I've been wanting to say thanks for a while now.
