After a less than stellar run at theaters, we get some shockingly early news on the upcoming DVD and Blu-Ray release. The reason I find this weirdly early is the fact that "Scott Pilgrim VS The World" is still playing at most theaters, And only just recently got released in the UK.

Director Edgar Wright is known for DVD releases that feature a very fair amount of extras. And it seems Scott Pilgrim is going to be the exact same way.

5 minutes and 45 seconds of TV spots

A 1 minute and 24 second international trailer

An audio commentary with Michael Cera, Jason Schwartzman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Ellen Wong, and Brandon Routh

Another with Anna Kendrick,* Aubrey Plaza, Kieran Culkin, and Mark Webber

20 minutes and 11 seconds of “Additional material Bonus X 2 3 Trailers” – is that twenty three trailers?

The “main” trailer and teaser

The Osymiso remix clips, totalling a run time of 9 minutes and 13 seconds

Now this may not be the final list, So we could expect more in the coming days/weeks/months. No release date is confirmed for the DVD/Blu-Ray but i have read other places it may be heading to stores in November. Here is also a short extra animation done to promote the films UK/Ireland release.

It is a f***ing shame. I went to go see it tonight for the 4th time at the dollar movies. I could honestly cry because Scott Pilgrim, to me, is up there with Watchmen (adaption-wise).

That really sucks.An $80-90 million budget/$60 million after tax breaks and it made $41.9 million.People really didn't want to see this movie.Damn.Does anyone think this will have any effect on Wright directing Ant-Man?

@taz...I think it won't, unless Marvel changes him to just write the script...again...well I will pick this up when it comes out which I'm sure it won't be long.

@Gaston.....I think the problem was that the trailers never showed off anything else, it was just all the money shots for the movie. They should have done at least three types of trailers to showcase this world

It shouldn't be that big of a surprise, a lot of movies get released to DVD and Blu-ray much quicker than they did when VHS was still around

I feel stupid because I wanted to see this so bad and didn't. But my friends saw it and wouldn't shut up and spoiled a lot of the jokes so I probably wont bother.

@BryEl
Couldn't agree more. I actually rank this up with Watchmen, myself. And I can guarentee that I watch this many more times than I do Watchmen.

@conformist
I disagree about Cera. I don't think he was exactly Scott Pilgrim, but he's impossible to play. I think Cera did a pretty good job at adapting it while still making it true to the character.

I'm kind of disappointed though. I walked out of the theater saying "that was the nerdiest movie ever made. if the director's cut fleshes out the characters more (especially the relationship between Scott and Ramona), this will be my favorite movie." It's a bummer there's no extended cut.

Apparently...

I was so mad when I figured out they were showing the new Zac Efron movie and Vampires Suck but not Scott Pilgrim.
