SHAZAM! Director David F. Sandberg Reveals Why The Hero's Boots Have Been Changed

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Shazam's boots had been changed in the trailer for the movie and now director David F. Sandberg has revealed what happened between that first official image and the teaser...

In the first official image from Shazam!, fans noticed that the titular hero was wearing a snazzy pair of new boots. Those were completely different from what we'd seen in set photos and not remotely similar to the close-up shot of them in the trailer. So, what on Earth is going on with Billy Batson's footwear? Well, director David F. Sandberg has now shed some light on what's been happening.

As you can see below, the rather goofy looking red and gold boots (which would have essentially meant he was wearing a onesie with shoes that had gaping holes in them) were replaced because they simply weren't practical and based on that hi-res shot in the Tweet, that was in terms of the visuals too. Needless to say, those boots probably won't be missed and the right decision was made here.

What do you guys think? As always, let us know your thoughts on that in the comments section below.
