SHAZAM! May Be The DCEU's Most Useless Superhero In Action-Packed New Trailer
As promised, the second Shazam! trailer has arrived, but with just over a month to go until the movie hits theaters, can it win over sceptical moviegoers? Hit the jump to watch this electrifying preview...
We've been waiting what feels like forever for a new look at Shazam!, and it's finally arrived. Unfortunately, it's mostly made up of footage we've seen in TV spots over the past month or so and there are no big reveals here; instead, we get a fun look at just how much of a useless superhero Billy Batson is as he comes to terms with his newfound superpowers.
The hope among fans was that the Marvel Family and Seven Deadly Sins would be revealed, but not even Dr. Sivana gets much in the way of screentime; with Shazam himself getting the limelight. Of course, that might just be the best way to sell this one to moviegoers who have no idea who he is.
Regardless, there's plenty of humour on display here and it may not be a bad thing that Warner Bros. is holding back the movie's biggest surprises. However, with just over a month to go until Shazam! arrives in theaters, the studio needs to start pulling out all the stops (and a cameo from a Batman action figure may not cut it). It's definitely funny seeing how bad Billy is at being a hero, though!
