Mickey Rourke's portrayal of Marv was one of the centerpieces in the original Sin City movie. Moviehole recently asked Rourke if he had any interest in returning as Marv in a Sin City sequel.

Below is his unusual reply...

"If it happens - I mean, that's another movie that's three hours of make-up - as long as Robert Rodriguez's wife isn't involved in it."

You gotta love Mickey Rourke, he never fails to say exactly what he thinks,

That would be epic. He was my favorite part of the movie. Besides Dwight's tale.

Nooo!! Mickey Rourke is Whiplash! He can't play in another comic book movie! Oh...wait a minute...he already was in Sin City. He's in the Expendables too. I am confused...who is the real Mickey Rourke? What's the world coming to? Only one comic book movie per actor! :-P Just in case...that was sarcasm. ;-)

Well, since I'm sure Rodriguez will have to put Rose McGowan in the film, I doubt his wife will want anything to do with it. Problem solved. As long as he doesn't try to make her Ava... I'd be cool with her playing Delia, though.

I'll be honest, I have never read any of the books. I'm not a huge fan of Frank Miller, but I enjoyed the film and Rourke was awesome as Marv. Maybe they will get the sequel rolling...one day.

APPROVED. But, I doubt RobRods wife is going to have anything to do with this since they're not together anymore and such. I wonder why he doesn't like her? Maybe she tried to seduce him! :D

I was just about to say that. This is the second time this week I've heard someone refer to her as his wife.I know they broke up last year.I was starting to think they'd got married and I was out of the loop.

Lee@ For most of us it doesn't make a difference or matter if it is or isn't a Marvel movie. Actors are actors. They are paid to move from one role to the next. If Marvel doesn't have an issue with it...why should we have an issue with it? ;-P

Im sure that Rourke meant exactly McGowan! That girl has a ok body, but if Rourke doesnt want to be in the same room with her i think that she is a terrible as actor... or just nuts?... or something?:D

They are divorced, but she is co-owner of Troublemaker Studios, the production company that owns the rights to Sin City.

Kind of weird that he would say that in public, since we have no knowledge of any problems that happened on set. News to me....

Lee@ I have been critical about many things that Hollywood throws at me (reference Avatar feelings). I just know how to separate between actor's roles from movie to movie. If it is such a tough thing to accept the actor who played Johnny Storm as Cap, how can you possibly accept that Johnny Storm can even be a valid character in the Fantastic Four and Marvel Universe when there is the Human Torch? ;-)
