Here's When We'll See The First Trailer For SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING

We've seen a lot of set photos for Spider-Man: Homecoming, but nothing official. Well, it sounds like that's about to change, so hit the jump for details about the reboot's first teaser trailer.

Spider-Man: Homecoming finished shooting a while ago, but we've yet to see so much as a single official image from the Jon Watts helmed reboot. Well, that could be about to change as ComicBook.com reports that sources close to the production have told them the first trailer will be attached to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. That makes sense considering the fact that it's Disney last big 2016 release, and you have to imagine that it will be online sometime before December 16th. 

No further details were provided by the site, but we'll no doubt hear something definite about this soon (especially as it should be classified at some point in the next few weeks if this story is accurate). 

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to be released next July, so a first look in December does make sense. It's long overdue at this stage, but it will be interesting to see whether or not the full-length Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer accompanies it. I feel like this movie is going to be okay, but I also have a feeling that it might not be. The same guys who destroyed the Vacation movie wrote this and that's scary.

With that being said, I hope that maybe in the future we get the greatest Spider-Man character of all time to make a cameo.

@TheNewGuy123 - Hopefully the Marvel staff writers were given freedom on the script. I just don't trust the Vacation guys

@Kr08 - They're not staff writers. It's Watts and his usual writing partner, along with one writer from Community (who also added jokes to Winter Soldier) and another from American Dad.

@TheNewGuy123 - It has Chris Mckenna? Hell yeah. Anyone from Community on anything is a good thing. He produced the best seasons, so I think we might get some fresh stuff.

@Kr08 - Jon Watts, and his frequent collaborator, Christopher Ford, have ben confiremd to have tweaked the script. Cop Car had a solid script, and understood its younger characters very well. Finally, Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, who've both written for Happy Endings, Community and American Dad.

Safe to assume Marvel doesnt trust the Vacation fools completely lol.

@TheNewGuy123 - Having a bunch of writers might actually make things worse. [frick]ed up Green Lantern (although, to be fair, I blame that mainly on Berlanti, as he wrote the story, the script, AND produced the thing).

@ComicsBornAndBred - Haha I don't think they trust them either. I want a Marvel movie written completely by Dan Harmon! That shit would blow people's minds. Rick and Morty is already a mind [frick] of a show. Can you imagine if he was given a Marvel hero with the MCU at his fingertips?

@Kr08 - He said he really enjoyed working with them so who knows. Maybe he hops onto the Spidey sequel? I like the Community and Happy Endings writers they got for Spidey. Gives me some hope, But what I saw at SDCC was pretty interesting. Tone felt right and like nothing we've ever gotten from a Spidey film.
