If you've seen Spider-Man: Homecoming, you'll know that the ending of the film shook up Spidey's life in a big way with Peter's Aunt May discovering his identity as the superhero! The next time we'll see Spider-Man will be alongside Earth's Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Infinity War, but it doesn't seem like that film (or its 2019 sequel) is going to spend too much time on the ramifications of May's shocking discovery.
When quizzed by IGN about how long it will be before we learn how May reacts to Peter's secret life, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige answered, "I think it might be a few years."
The sequel to Homecoming seems like the most likely place for it to be addressed, and it just so happens that the sequel will be kicking off "Phase 4" of the MCU, beginning minutes after the conclusion of the untitled Avengers film. When asked why they chose Spider-Man to kick off the next phase of events, Feige said it was a choice of bringing things back to a more grounded level. "After this 22 movie saga after untitled Avengers in May '19, it does seem like you want to get back to ground level, reassess, and who better to do that with than Peter Parker?"
