In "Rumor Mill," we share the hard to buy rumours that don't come from reliable sources like the trades, but are still more believable (just) than what you might find on Reddit.
Spider-Man 3 is shaping up to be a much bigger film than anticipated, with Benedict Cumberbatch set to reprise his role as Doctor Strange, and Jamie Foxx signing up to return as Electro after previously playing the villain in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
This week, rumors started circulating that Marvel Studios is bringing back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their respective versions of Peter Parker. Today, a new report shared by The Direct claims that another web-slinging wonder could be joining them.
It's said that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have already found an actor to play a live-action Miles Morales; there's no indication of where he will first appear or who's been cast.
Spider-Man: Homecoming confirmed the existence of Miles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it's feasible he could have been aged up thanks to Avengers: Endgame's five-year time jump. This is just a rumor, and not one that's been reported by the trades, so it's best not to get your hopes up when it feels like sites like MCU Cosmic are just throwing ideas at the wall to see what sticks.
