Sony couldn't have found a better launch title for the PlayStation 5 than Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and while it wasn't a particularly lengthy experience, it was still undeniably spectacular. A big chunk of the story revolved around Miles' relationship with his uncle, Aaron Davis, and the revelation that he was, in fact, working for Roxxon as The Prowler.
By the time the credits rolled, Aaron had redeemed himself and ended up behind bars, but it makes perfect sense for him to reprise the role in the next Spider-Man game. While we had Ikè Amadi on the phone to discuss his role as Jax in Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms, we had to ask whether the door is open to him reprising the role one day.
"Uh, well [Laughs], I would tell you that I’m never allowed to talk about anything at any time, but I would, of course, love to come back," he confirmed. "The first introduction for me...I actually had not read the comics before I saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Their version of Prowler, I thought, was excellent. I took that and wanted to make it my own. With the help of an excellent team, I think it really came across well. That was a really good time for me."
When we pointed out that Aaron was one of the most complex Spider-Man villains to be featured in this franchise, Ikè opened up on what about the character most appealed to him as an actor.
"Oh, yeah. I think, to me, the most fascinating characters are always the ones that have that redemption arc," Ikè explained. "They deal with their issues and they may fall and falter, but they’re always trying to find something good. The best part of Aaron was that he thought what he was doing was right. He always felt that was the case."
Hopefully, we will see more of The Prowler when that next Spider-Man game is released because there's a lot of potential there to dive even deeper into his relationship with Miles. It would also be interesting to see what happens when the reformed criminal crosses paths with Peter Parker's web-slinger. We'd also love to get some DLC that sees him become a playable character...
