Andrew Garfield is a horrible Peter Parker

Regardless of Andrew Garfield's take on Spider-man, there are a lot of things I don't really like about Garfield. Not only is how the way he looks cringe worthy sometimes, but I never bought him as Peter Parker. I always saw him as a miscast for the role and I will address the reasons why.

1) He is an emo skateboarder.

2) He comes off as an unlikable douche bag in the movies who thinks he's better than everyone around him.

3) He relies on his girl friend to help him beat villains all the time. He shows less superiority as each battle arises.

4) Screw the Ultimate Comics! Skinny Spider-man is an insult to the original Spider-man that follows Stan Lee's ideal and conceptual hero. I want Spider-man to look bigger and more build like a real hero. Every time I watch a skinny guy wearing a Spider-man suit, my nerves always start to get beefed up. It's very easy to pick on the lead actor in this case - horrible choice to play Spider-man.

5) He fails to keep his identity as Spider-man in the kissing scene at Oscorp.

6) He refuses to donate blood to his friend, Harry, to save him from illness. It's like he wants his best friend to die or something. This does not show Peter's true "nerdy" side or "intelligence" at all. It's an unlikable personality we have over here.

7) He looks angsty and too cool to play Peter Parker. He comes off more like a hipster caricature if anything.

8) Peter Parker isn't suppose to be some cool guy wearing a Ramones T-shirt or an American Eagle  outfit. Peter Parker is an individual who grows into a confident man gaining respect from himself and his allies as a hero despite some people looking against him as an exclusive heroic entity. He is also suppose to look nerdy and handsome. Andrew Garfield always looked like a miscasted 30 year old supermodel boy to me who should be modelling for women on an Ambercrombie poster instead.

9) He is too much of a pretty face. Why do we need a bunch of pretty faces as superhero casts these days?

10) He is emotionless in his acting. The way he "cries" doesn't seem to be believable. It's more mockery-ish compared to Tobey Maguire's. You can call Maguire a cry baby all you want, but at least he knows how to cry.

11) Peter Parker is not a stuttering Britain. The comics Peter Parker is a non-stuttering American.

12) The general audience doesn't seem to think he's as interesting as some people think he is. Wanna know how you can easily spot that? The rottentomatoes, IMDB, and the BOX OFFICE all show that he is lacking the charisma to pull off the take on one of the most iconic superheroes out there. Of course, people who like Andrew Garfield will say they want him kept as long as possible, but this is also what has been bothering me the whole time. You need a lead actor who is charasmatic and interesting enough to play a superhero like Spider-man. The general audiences aren't as dumb as  the comic book fans think they are. He is just... unlikable

13) He doesn't read the script before he acts. A true individual who has much charm and respect for the character would always try to request reading the script(s) before acting or filming.

14) He has this monotone voice that can change sometimes - sometimes he sounds like Peter Parker, and sometimes he can sound like himself. It's annoying.

15) Most importantly, when you attach Andrew Garfield's name to Spider-man and do it with Tobey Maguire's name too, Andrew Garfield seems like a secondary person to portray him, not primary (even though both of them are bad choices to play PP/SM). Tobey Maguire's name always naturally had the more primary reputation to attach to Spider-man regardless of what the circumstances are. I would prefer someone in between them both to play PP/SM.

16) The humor he delivers feels forced.

Conclusion: Who is Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker? A twilight zone type of guy who is just centered around women and a bunch of brainwashed comic book fans who think he's great looking and perfect for the role. He is some random dude you can't even relate to and comes off unbelievable as a superhero.

If I was reading Spider-man comic books right now, even the comic book version of PP/SM would be more likable than the cinematic PP/SM we have right now. I don't hate the character portrayal in this franchise, but it's the cast who is more of an issue than anything.

** But you know what, we can put it this way, Tobey Maguire is the better Peter Parker, and Andrew Garfield is the better Spider-man **

Hope this does not get deleted now cause someone told me to add it into the "editorial" section instead of the "news" section. Happy now?
