Dane DeHaan's Harry Osborn has been one of the most talked about roles in the upcoming film The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The character has had multiple rumours and speculation, with every possible Spidey villain coming up. Harry is The Goblin... No wait, Harry is Venom... Which is it? DeHaan had a full interview with ScreenRant discussing his role in the upcoming sequel; beware of potential spoilers.

On Possible Venom Movie
Am I the new Venom? I thought Eddie Brock was Venom? Wow, now you sound like a dude at Comic Con! Oh I have no idea what’s happening beyond this. I guess it depends on what happens when the script comes in but I’d love to continue to be a part of it. I had a really great time working on this film, it’s filled with a lot of really great people. I honestly truly enjoyed working with everybody. I think Marc [Webb] is really great and if they invite me I would love to continue.

On Peter & Harry's Relationship
So basically Harry and Peter in this version were really close friends in childhood. Then Harry got sent off to boarding school and he had a very complicated relationship with his father so he never really went home that much and stopped talking to Peter. Now they’ve graduated High School and Harry is coming home for the first time and having to face Peter and rekindle their friendship and deal with the complicated relationships they both have with their fathers and finding a way back into their friendship through that.

On Felicity Jones Goblin Rumour
The Goblin’s girlfriend? That’s gross if she’s dating the Goblin that’s disgusting. Not to judge… [Smiles]

You can read the full interview in the link below!

SYNOPSIS: In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Do you and your kid eat pie while watching the show?

Also may I suggest SpectacularSpider-Man?

I actually agree with Levi for once. Spectacular Spider-Man is hands-down the best Spider-Man cartoon. I can't stand Ultimate Spider-Man.

"The Spectacular Spider-Man" was a great show. It proved that a solid story can make you totally forget about whatever art you see or voice cast you may dislike if hearing. I only had a rough time with some of the art, however I got around it once I sunk into the show. Tombstone, Hanmerhead, Goblin, Electro, Samdman (especially that episode when je built a sandcastle for those kids at the beach. Made me feel all soft inside) and so many more villains had great character value! :)

I recently re-watched the 90's Spider-Man show and it has not stood the test of time. The voice acting is weak, the pacing is rushed, alot of the dialogue is cheesy, the plots sound lame, and the show ended on a cliffhanger. Also, the show reuses alot of animation shots as if it was the 60's Spider-Man.

But at least Peter Parker didn't sound like a 50 year old man in the 90's show. Spectacular Spider-Man is the best Spidey show.

@theblackwolverine what? I mean it wouldn't be the end of the world if they did. Harry has all that emotion and hate bottled up inside him because of what Peter did to his dad and that makes a hell of alot more sense to hate him than stealing his girlfriend and getting him fired. Idk that's just me

Make Harry as Venom. I mean if we make Eddie as Venom, then we need another 3 movie for that. Do you people really think we have time for that when they are making Sinister Six? Only possible way is make Harry as Venom. WeaWe dont want to see same stuff over again!!!. We dont want to see same stuff over again!!!

I think I have officially lost interest in this movie lol. Harry as Venom?! Hollywood must really hate one of the most iconic Spidey villains of all time. SMFH.
