Kevin Feige Confirms SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Title; Says It's Full Of "Alternate Meaning"
Last night, Spider-Man: Homecoming's Tom Holland revealed the title for the Webhead's upcoming sequel, & Kevin Feige has now confirmed it while also suggesting that "Far From Home" has multiple meanings...
Tom Holland revealed the title of the upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming last night, but because the actor has become known for spoiling/announcing Marvel-related stuff prematurely, some were under the impression that he might simply have been joking around.
However, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige has now confirmed that, for better or worse, The Webhead's next solo adventure will indeed be known as Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Feige clarified as much while speaking to CinemaBlend at the Ant-Man and The Wasp press junket, while also suggesting that the divisive title will have several different connotations.
"[It's] similar [to Spider-Man: Homecoming]. I won't say what the meanings are, but we enjoy that title because, like Homecoming, it is full of alternate meaning. And we liked continuing the 'Home' thing, with the little Spidey symbol in the 'Home.'
The most literal interpretation of the title would seem to point to Peter Parker going on a globetrotting adventure, but we'll have to wait until more of the plot is revealed before making any further assumptions.
