BATES MOTEL Star Freddie Highmore Weighs In On Possibly Playing Marvel's SPIDER-MAN
Andrew Garfield won't be reprising the role of Spider-Man when he joins the MCU in Captain America: Civil War, so the hunt for a new star has led to a number of actors throwing their names into the hat.
Logan Lerman and Dylan O'Brien are the only two names to so far emerge as being possible contenders for the new Spider-Man, but everyone from Josh Hutcherson to Donald Glover have been weighing in on whether they would be interested in playing the iconic wall-crawler.
The latest is Bates Motel star Freddie Highmore. Talking to IGN about the upcoming third season of the Psycho prequel, talk soon turned to how he feels about support from fans when it comes to him playing Peter Parker on the big screen. "Obviously I would love to be considered," he revealed, stating the obvious for any young up and coming actor. "That would be fantastic. I guess we'll just see how things go." As for the appeal of the character, he said that, "you always feel like you can identify with him. He's that kind of guy at school who wasn't perhaps in the really cool group, but who was extremely intelligent and managed to find confidence in being Spider-Man - in this other side to his life." More from Highmore can be found in the video above. Do you guys think he would be a good Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War and the 2017 Spider-Man reboot?
