New SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Artwork Shows A Very Different, And More Comic Faithful, Vulture

A new piece of Spider-Man: Homecoming concept art has surfaced which offers up a fresh look at The Vulture, and he's wearing a costume which pays homage to his comic book counterpart in a major way.

We go our first look at The Vulture during this year's San Diego Comic-Con, but it appears as if that won't be the only costume the villain wears in the movie. We've seen him in a pretty advanced battle suit, but here he's covering that with a pair of green pants and a jacket with a collar which clearly pays homage to the camp outfit worn by Adrian Toomes during his comic book battles with the wall-crawler.

It seems like this artwork may be for an action figure, and it wouldn't be the first time something like this has given us an early look at a character (it's how we saw The Vision for the first time too).

The fact that The Vulture is still wearing a mask here but is in a totally different costume may add some weight to theories that two different people will end up taking on the mantle here. If Spider-Man: Homecoming follows the source material, that could mean we'll see both Toomes and Blackie Drago taking flight. What do you guys think of this new concept art? As always, share your thoughts below.

Hopefully the tinkerer gives him the upgraded suit, but I can't imagine the vulture being a big threat to the same spiderman who fought winter soldier AND falcon, and was able to take down giant man

@TheEpicJuicebox - In all fairness, all he did was trip Giant Man with his Star Wars powers ;)

@TheEpicJuicebox - You know I just realized, we were so harsh on ASM2 before any footage came out (I'll let you judge if it was ultimately warranted) for having 3 villains. Now the MCU is making a new Spider-man franchise and in their first movie they have...3 villains...and no one's talking about it.

@Origame - because marvel knows what they're doing

@TheEpicJuicebox - Really? Because nothing about this sounds different than the last movie everyone complained about. They may make good movies, but what difference is this other than the studio?

@Origame - his eyes move and he's played by an actual kid

@TheEpicJuicebox - Yeah, because both of those really matter when it comes to story. Face it, this is just going to be exactly like every other Spider-man movie we had and even though that's something we hated with the Amazing films, we're going to eat it up because Marvel Studios. This is why we can't have great movies anymore.

@Origame - he a spidey signal

@TheEpicJuicebox - So...a flashlight. He has a flashlight. These things don't change the fact that it's no different from everything that came before.

@Origame - has any spidey had moving eyes, spidey signal, or been played by a kid
No

@TheEpicJuicebox - 1) literally no one was asking for the moving eyes because that was just a necessity for emotions in the comics. We didn't need that in the movies because they hired talented actors.

2) considering even the comics ditched that quickly I don't see how that is a plus for this movie in the slightest. It's a flashlight.

3) How old are you anyway? Because I can pretty much guarantee you weren't born yet when Spider-man was still in high school. Yes, the movies never had a kid play him because they wanted him to finish high school in one movie then move on with his life. They did that because THAT'S HOW LIFE WORKS. Kind of important to keep in mind considering this is supposed to be the most relatable superhero.

4) Again, none of these points change the fact that this is the same old movie we've seen 5 times before, with multiple villains, high school drama, a dance scene, everything. It's kind of funny how transparent they're being yet no one's calling them out on it because Marvel Studios.

@Origame - hahahahahah I'm a bored 20 year old college student who's just messing around lol I could care less about any points you have. Marvels track record alone shows that they'll do Spiderman Justice, simple as that

http://mcuexchange.com/derrickson-clears-up-some-things-about-doctor-strange/

According to Derrickson the entire film covers about a year with a 3 to 6 month recovery time for Strange before he sets out for Nepal. Specifically, the film appears to run from one autumn to the following autumn.

How many times have we seen concept art that is so far from what we get on screen? I'm skeptical...Still I have faith that Marvel Studios, Kevin and co., will deliver an entertaining film!
