SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING - Robert Downey Jr. Got Paid An Insane Amount For Just 8 Minutes Of Screentime

Robert Downey Jr.'s salary for his cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming has been revealed and would you believe us if we told you he earned more for eight minutes than Tom Hardy's entire Venom paycheck?

Spider-Man: Homecoming was 133 minutes long and Robert Downey Jr. appeared in just eight of those. So, how much did he earn from what must have been just a couple of afternoon's work? Well, a new report reveals that he scored an impressive $10 million payday from Sony Pictures, not a bad sum by any means! The studio did, however, want the reboot to be a hit and his presence surely helped.

To put things in perspective for you, lead Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard earned $10 million and $8 million respectively for that movie. Going back to Sony, the studio only saw fit to pay Tom Hardy a total of $7 million for his role as Eddie Brock in Venom! That just goes to show how much Downey is worth as the Armored Avenger and it paid off for the studio.

After all, Spider-Man: Homecoming was a huge hit and Tony Stark's presence in the marketing materials - even if he was barely in the movie - made a significant difference. The question I want an answer to is how much Chris Evans received for starring in those hilarious PSAs and that after-credits scene! Something tells me it probably wasn't as much as Downey but that's probably to be expected by now.
