Following the news that Morbius will be available on Digital platforms starting May 17, Sony Pictures has now confirmed that the Marvel Comics adaptation will hit DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD on June 14 (you can check out one of the steelbook covers for the blockbuster at the bottom of this post).
With this comes a full list of the promised 30 minutes of special features, though we're sure you'll notice that there are no deleted or extended scenes.
Sony actually came under fire for promising 10 minutes of deleted scenes on the Spider-Man: No Way Home Blu-ray, only for them to be mysteriously absent. The prevailing theory is that the bonus content is being saved for a future theatrical release of an even longer version of the threequel, but in Morbius' case, we know extensive reshoots led to a lot of big scenes being left on the cutting room floor.
Why Sony wouldn't at least include the alternate ending is hard to say, especially as many fans might have been curious to check that out. It's also no secret that Adrian Toomes once had a vastly different role, with pretty much every scene of his from the trailers missing from the movie we saw.
Here's what you will find on the disc:
Outtakes & Bloopers
Featurettes:
- Defining The Antihero
- From Human to Vampire – Visual Effects
- Lights, Camera, Action
- The Good, Bad & Ugly – Supporting Cast Doing the Stunt Work
