MORBIUS Star Jared Leto Says He Can't Wait To "Sink My Teeth" Into VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE

Morbius star Jared Leto has shared his excitement for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, but is he teasing an eventual meeting between Tom Hardy's symbiote and the Living Vampire? Find more details right here!

We wouldn't call "Venom Day" a bust, but the Venom: Let There Be Carnage-themed event ultimately boiled down to a new clip, a couple of vignettes, and film critics proving they really can't act.

Morbius star Jared Leto ended up getting in on the action, though, and expressed his excitement for the upcoming Venom sequel. The Oscar-winner appropriately says that he can't wait to sink his teeth into the movie, and we can't help but wonder whether Venom and Morbius will one day cross paths.

The movie's release date has been pushed back to January 28, 2022, and it remains to be seen whether Venom: Let There Be Carnage references the Living Vampire in any way. Either way, it's hard to imagine Sony Pictures not having some tentative plans to bring together Venom, Morbius, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Kraven the Hunter (perhaps as a non-Multiversal Sinister Six).

Regardless, Sony's Spider-Man Universe is definitely expanding, and we're still waiting for news on what the studio has planned for characters like Black Cat and Silver Sable. There's also that Silk TV series, not to mention big plans for the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse sequel, Olivia Wilde's Spider-Woman movie, and that long-rumoured Madame Web project!

It's certainly an exciting time to be a fan of the wall-crawler, and you'll want to check back here a little later today as the first critic reactions for the next Venom movie have slowly started appearing online.

Not a fan of Leto and I don't see Morbius making any bank.

I'm more surprised they're still considering doing a Black Cat/Silver Sable flick?

I’ll be genuinely surprised if this extended Spider-Man universe thing they’re trying to do actually works. Venom is one thing, but I can’t see movies about Kraven, Morbius, Black Cat, or Silver Sable being big box office draws. No one cares about a Madame Web or Silk show either lol.

Say what you will about his Joker, the guy is an artist. Apart from the tattoos, I didn't even dislike his portrayal all that much. Joker was the least of the problems in the movie.

Well, you can pretty much say the same thing about all of the actors in the DCEU.

@SpiderParker - not all movies in marvel are big hits as well I’m not counting box office numbers how many people on here talk about iron man 3 taskmaster black widow , most fans want to forget about them and captain marvel I was bored watching that twice

Maybe wishful thinking, but I think that there’s a decent chance that this whole franchise falls apart before that happens.

Well, at least Morbius can standalone as a movie unlike a certain symbiote. Rather wait for it than watch good guy gooey fight bad guy gooey. AGAIN.

@LameLuka - Well let me know when a comics comes out where Venom gets the symbiote first and gets spider like symbiotic powers by getting bitten by a spider. You know what, even that would have made more sense.

Morbius is a great character a bad ass in the comics but this movie will be a watered down PG-13 vampire film instead of a R rated film which Morbius really should be, produce by Avi Arad a guy who only cares about doing movies for his kids so I'll kore likely pass.

If venom part two does well and people understand that this movie is Marvel, It could make money. Let’s say somewhere between TSS and BW, and if it approaches BW it may be called a success. If Sony then has two successful characters, then they will be bold, and keep the movies comin. A Wonder Woman 84 or The Suicide Squad ain’t gonna stop WB, knowing they have characters people like and knowing the pandemic hurt both of those, especially BW, since TSS likely had other factors at play. So… I don’t expect the SPEWMC or whatever it’s called now to go away.
