SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME Concept Art Reveals Different Looks For ELECTRO

Thanks to some newly released concept art images, there were plans to have Jamie Foxx's Electro appear looking more different in Spider-Man: No Way Home

Jamie Foxx returning to the role of the electricity-based supervillain, Electro, from The Amazing Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home appeared as a breath of fresh air for the character upon his re-entry into the franchise.

After travelling to the MCU amid Doctor Strange's spell going haywire, the Electro we knew from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 reverted back to his human form, but now having got an extreme make over from his hair, to his teeth, to his sheer confidence bolstered by such change.

In the end, Electro did not sport an entirely comic-accurate attire for the final battle, rather, having worn the same, more modified maintenance outfit of what he had been wearing for most of his screen time in the film.

Like the title indicates, we almost received a comic-accurate take on Electro in his return for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and it looks pretty damn accurate to say the least:

From the image shown on the left, supposedly Electro would have initially never reverted back to his human form, debasing all the confidence he had as the film continued on with him.

As far as his suit is composed, it appears as very comic-accurate; almost reminiscent to that of what Black Lightning has worn in his CW series.

The suit appears the exact same in both images, just painted in different colors. In the second image, we see that Electro has reverted back to his human form, and his suit is dawning his iconic color pattern from the comics, green and yellow.

It is possible the creative team chose not to green light these designs due to budget costs or time management, which is why we see Electro wearing his make-shift suit in the final-cut of the film.

Would you have wanted to see this Electro suit in Spider-Man: No Way Home?

With Spider-Man's identity now revealed, our friendly neighborhood web-slinger is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life as Peter Parker from the high stakes of being a superhero. When Peter asks for help from Doctor Strange, the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

Not gonna lie, I like that suit on the right. Just don’t see how they could’ve wrote that into the plot of Electro getting a super suit.

He was great as how he was portrayed costume wise. Couldn't have had him in that ridiculous Ditko design either as much as I would have liked to see that

@WhatIfRickJames - not all comic accurate costumes look good in live action fans didn’t like thor 3 costume , lizard in amazing Spider-Man two his look is comic accurate to his first appearance in comics fans hate that look they prefer more modern look how he did Todd McFarland drew him

I like what we got. Just Jamie Foxx in green and yellow street clothes. The studio clearly knew Electro’s original movie design was bad, so they gave us something different and simple with just enough fan service (the yellow lightning mask) to make people happy.

That's a tricky head piece to pull off, it needs the bolts to stick out with white eyes. Perfect

weird he is the only one they felt the need to give a completely new design to.

Not like the Amazing Spiderman 2 design was that bad

everyone else was either in their old design or some variation of it
