Spider-Man: No Way Home blew fans away by uniting Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker Variants on screen for the first time. This understandably led to a lot of unforgettable, spectacular moments, and it's been a blast hearing from the three actors who made that team-up a reality (hence why there's so much excitement surrounding the upcoming Blu-ray).
Holland recently sent social media into something of a frenzy when he revealed that one of the amazing trio had a fake butt in their costume. "I’m not going to tell you who," the actor said, "but one of us has a fake ass in their suit. You can figure out that for yourselves."
Entertainment Tonight recently caught up with Garfield and verified this mystery's validity. "Yeah, I heard this," he says in the video below. "Well, I have no idea. It's not me, so I have no clue. I don't wanna...I don't know, I assumed everyone's butts were their butts." Asked if it was Maguire, he responded: "No, I don't think it was Tobey. I've seen Tobey's butt. Tobey's got back."
So, does that mean Tom wore a fake butt on the set of Spider-Man: No Way Home? That appears to be what Garfield is getting at here, though it's also possible he's just protecting Maguire's image (who he's had nothing but good things to say about). This mystery may be solved to some extent, though we have a feeling these three will be having fun with this story a lot moving forward.
Maguire rarely gives interviews, but we'll no doubt hear from him at some point down the line!
Spider-Man: No Way Home releases on Digital on March 22 and physical platforms on April 12.
