Spider-Man 4- Has Spider-Man´s New Job Been Revealed By Kevin Feige?

No Way Home ended with Peter needing to pay rent. This means that we will probably see Peter having a job in Spider-Man 4. But what job will our working man Peter Parker have? Will he be a photographer for the Daily Bugle like in the early Steve Ditko and Stan Lee comics? Will he be a web developer like in the Ultimate Universe inprint? Or will he maybe be a teacher or a scientist like in more recent incarnations of the character?

While talking with Marvel Comic´s editor Nick Lowe about Spider-Man on the back of "The Amazing Spider-Man" issue 900, the Marvel Cinematic Universe´s president Kevin Feige said the following when asked about his prefered Peter Parker job:

"Teacher and scientist are the ones that always stick with me because if he hadn’t become Spider-Man, that’s who he was anyway. That’s always the duality of Spidey. Between doing what he is now able to do with these powers but also trying to live the life he would have had anyway. Or attempting to."

Aside from this, when asked which past era he would like to see a Spider-Man movie in, Kevin Feige also mentioned that he would like to see a silent movie era Spider-Man movie staring Buster Keaton as the titular character. He also noted 1934's The Thin Man by William Powell as another great influence:

Buster Keaton’s hard to beat in any capacity. He’s a little older than Peter, even when making his earliest movies. I’ve recently become obsessed with William Powell from The Thin Man. He’s also a little bit older in those films than Peter, but I’d like to have seen him swinging around."

Spider-Man 4 is an upcoming superhero film, based on the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. The film is a sequel to Spider-Man: HomecomingSpider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

On June 26, 2016, Sony Pictures Studios chairman Tom Rothman announced that Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios were committed to making more Spider-Man films after Spider-Man: Homecoming.

On August 20, 2019, Deadline reported that a fourth Spider-Man MCU film was in development alongside Spider-Man: No Way Home.

On November 29, 2021, Amy Pascal confirmed that Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios were set to begin development on a fourth Spider-Man film. She revealed that more Spider-Man films starring actor  Tom Holland and set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be developed and that the fourth Spider-Man film would be the first in a new trilogy.

On December 18, 2021, Kevin Feige officially confirmed that a fourth Spider-Man film was in active development.

Photographer and college student. Come on, Feige. It's okay to do things that we expect every once and again.

@Drace24 - [frick] it, make him suffer in trying to balance university, freelance photography, lab internship, personal life (if he has any) and superheroism.

@Fares - Nah, you are thinking about REGULAR Spider-man. This is MCU Spider-man. Time to get him a new mentor!

Would be kind of tricky making him a teacher. what if his spider-sense goes off in the middle of teaching? What is he going to do? Leave his students hanging until he gets back? He would be fired in no time. Better to go with the scientist route.
