Marvel's Spider-Man has been renewed for a second season, and is slated to return to Disney XD sometime in 2018.

Marvel also briefly outlined what fans can look forward to in the animated show's sophomore season.

"The second season of “Marvel’s Spider-Man” follows Peter Parker in his sophomore year as a more experienced Super Hero and a more confident student at what was once the intimidating Horizon High School. Picking up where season one left off – in an epic showdown against Doc Ock, the Sinister Five, and Hobgoblin – season two will offer much higher stakes for both Peter and his heroic alter-ego, Spider-Man. He’ll also learn how to navigate new responsibilities like working at his local newspaper The Daily Bugle while enduring Doc Ock’s series of obstacles in the villain’s attempt to get rid of Spider-Man once and for all. The action-packed season will continue to touch on Spidey’s relatable themes, including friendship, loyalty and heroism, while staying true to its signature sense of comedy." 

A premiere date for Marvel's Spider-Man Season 2 will be announced at a later date. Marvel's Spider-Man joins fellow animated series Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout and Marvel's Avengers: Black Panther's Quest in its return to Disney XD with new seasons in 2018.

Ok but will it have better animation? better characters? better story? How does this crap get a season 2 but Avengers EMH dies?........I just want Avengers EMH back :(

Stop basing the cartoons off the movies, and just do story lines from the comics like the 80’s and 90’s marvel cartoons.

I have been outright impressed with this version of Spidey. Really, really good writing and story.

Had absolutely no hype for this show (thought it was gonna be like Ultimate Spider-Man 2.0), but if anything, this is slowly but surely becoming my favorite Spider-Man cartoon.

@ScarletWarlock - nvm, there's literally no new footage. It's just a cast introducing bits and pieces of the [frick]ing trailer. How is that exclusive? HOOOOOW!

@ScarletWarlock - reminds me when they said a new exclusive look at Civil war would be shown at the kids choice awards. But it was just a same trailer, with one small footage of agent 13 punching someone, and that wasn't even in the movie LOL.

Lol don't even bother making an article on the infinity war thing. It's literally the same trailer except less footage. I hate Canadians.

@KermitTheFraud - Jesus, I suffered through one hour of that show just to watch the footage. Stopped all my work to do so. Only to he dissapointed this much. What the actual frick was that? Cold hard betrayal.

This show sucks. My least favorite Spider-Man show. And I thought Ultimate was bad. What the he'll did they do to the villains? Every one of them except Scorpion is designed like something from, idk, like a Pokemon type thing. Like Rhino? My 4 year old loves it so unfortunately I have to watch it. Put me out of my misery.
