It's a good time to be a fan of Miles Morales. Spider-Man: Miles Morales arrives on the PlayStation 5 in less than a month, while rumours are swirling that the hero is about to make his live-action debut.

Now, some new gameplay footage has been revealed showcasing an early sequence from the follow-up, a battle with The Rhino, web-slinging, combat, and some of the game's stealth sequences. Those will be familiar to those of you who played the first instalment, but the big difference here is that Miles has the ability to turn invisible.

Everything here looks amazing, and it's clear that Spider-Man benefits from this next generation console. The character looks incredible in motion, and it's clear there will be a lot of fun to be had here.

In the latest adventure in the Marvel’s Spider-Man universe, teenager Miles Morales is adjusting to his new home while following in the footsteps of his mentor, Peter Parker, as a new Spider-Man. But when a fierce power struggle threatens to destroy his new home, the aspiring hero realizes that with great power, there must also come great responsibility. To save all of Marvel’s New York, Miles must take up the mantle of Spider-Man and own it.

Check out this spectacular new gameplay footage from the sequel below:

For a second I thought it would be Juggernaut, who they were carrying.

@thebagman - my first reaction too! I feel like it doesn’t match his face. This Miles looks a bit older, but the voice sounds like a 15yr old.

I hope we see more of New York City. Looks like they saved a lot of bucks of development by simply redressing the previous game’s cityscape. That’s not a complaint — I just hope that means they poured more money into other new goodies in the game.

@braunermegda - How is new gadgets invisibility, venom stroke, and ray tracing exactly like 2018?

@Ha1frican - that alone makes a new game for you? Besides, "Breathtaking Web-Swinging", really?

braunermegda - 11/4/2020, 5:12 AM
@ThorArms - yes my point exactly, there's no "Breathtaking Web-Swinging" since it's just like the original one

@braunermegda - that amount of new abilities and something as significant on the app performance side is basically the difference between each of the Arkham games so why wouldn’t it? I’ve seen more complete games in similar standalone spin-offs like Infamous: First Light, or Uncharted: Lost Legacy to know these are squally a lot more than just dlc even if it’s not a straight up sequel
