The Amazing Spider-man

Villian(s) introduced: The Lizard
We’ll have to wait and see….

The Spectacular Spider-man

New Character(s) introduced: Harry Osborn (new kid at school), Norman Osborn (evil scientist and business tycoon)
Villian(s) introduced: Doctor Octopus, The Scorpion, Norman Osborn (pre-Goblin)

Doctor Otto Octavius seeks revenge from Norman Osborn after Norman pulls his funding on his project. In order to seek revenge Octavius steals his project and turns himself into Doctor Octopus. He then attempts to destroy Ocorp and kill Osborn. Norman Osborn decides to create a Scorpion suit for his employee Mac Gargon and inject him with the OZ serum, so that Gargon can defeat Doc Ock. The Scorpion and Doc Ock battle at Oscorp, but Spider-man comes in and attacks them both. The battle results in Doc Ock escaping unsuccessful and wanting to kill not only Osborn, but also Spider-man, Scorpion driven insane and convinced by Doc Ock to help him defeat Norman Osborn, and Norman Osborn badly burned from an explosion and also angry that Spider-man has ruined his plans.

In the end Spider-man saves Gwen who was captured by Doc Ock, accidentally kills the insane Scorpion, and defeats Doc Ock. Doc Ock goes to prison and Norman Osborn seeks revenge on Spider-man who he blames for his burn scars and the overall ruin of his business empire. This also increases Harry’s hate for Spider-man for he shares the same opinion as his father as far as the ruin of his father’s company.

Note: Instead of J. Jonah Jameson hiring Mac Gargon, I thought I’d have Norman Osborn hire him.

The Ultimate Spider-man

New Character(s) introduced: Mary Jane (friend of Gwen), J. Jonah Jameson and Daily Bugle
Villian(s) introduced: Green Goblin

Norman Osborn finally becomes the Green Goblin in hopes of killing Spider-man who he sees as being the cause of the crumbling of Oscorp. To him Spider-man is a threat and the only way for Oscorp to return to power is for him to eliminate Spider-man so he can proceed with his secret dealings. He invents the Green Goblin persona after exposing himself the OZ drug, the same drug Mac Gragon was exposed to. He then attains superhuman abilities and creates the Goblin suit. He fakes the stealing of his glider and uses the Goblin to not only steal from other industries, but to portray himself as another one of the Goblin’s victims.

In the end he discovers that Peter is Spider-man and has Peter choose between Gwen and Mary Jane. Peter refuses to choose so the Green Goblin let’s Gwen, who he knows is Peter’s true love, fall to her death. Spider-man attempts to save her but she is already dead by the time he snatches her from the air. He then rescues Mary Jane (who now knows Spider-man’s true identity) and follows the Green Goblin back to Oscorp where it is believed that Norman Osborn is being held hostage.

Spider-man and the Green Goblin fight and as it seems Spider-man has won when Norman threatens Peter to kill him and get his revenge for his parents death. Norman confirms Peter’s suspicions that his parents were murdered by Osborn. As they talk Norman secretly prepares his glider to attack behind Peter’s back. Then Harry who has followed them to the warehouse and come to the door, where he believes his father his being held hostage, calls out for his father and Norman starts begging for mercy and acting as if Spider-man is going to kill him. Harry hears his father’s pleads from behind the locked door and thinks Spider-man is going to kill his father. Then Norman commands his glider to attack Spider-man from behind, but Spider-man senses it and jumps out of the way thus sending the glider through the chest of Norman. Harry hears his father’s scream and believes that Spider-man has killed his father. Peter while in distress of the whole event notices the wrist plate of Norman’s suit and sees a timer ticking away. He immediately realizes the warehouse is rigged with explosives and he busts down the door and scoops a struggling Harry up. He swings out just as it explodes.

In the end the public believes the Green Goblin is dead and that he is responsible for Gwen Stacy and Norman Osborn’s deaths. Harry thinks Spider-man killed his father and plots to find and kill him. Peter still suffering from Gwen’s death, gives up being Spider-man.

The Web of Spider-man

New Character(s) introduced: Eddie Brock (journalist at the Daily Bugle)
Villian(s) introduced: Sinister Six: Doctor Octopus (main villain), Electro, Sandman, Mysterio, Vulture, and Chameleon (replaces Kraven because I don’t think Kraven would work well in a movie)

Sinister Six is a team formed by Doc Ock in prison to help him escape as part of Harry Osborn’s plan to find and kill Spider-man. When out of prison they meet with Harry, explain their powers and how they got them, and agree to find Spider-man.

With Spider-man in hiding and Peter now moving on in his life with Mary Jane, a new heroine named Black Cat takes his place. But the Sinister Six is too much for her to handle so Peter decides become Spider-man again and go to her aide. However, they are still no match for them. So Peter uses the black symbiote he found and has been experimenting on to form a new suit that increases his powers. He and Black Cat are able to take members of the Sinister Six down one by one, but in the process Peter becomes much darker and even kills some members of the Sinister Six. Realizing he is slowly becoming more of a villain than a hero after an incident with the Sinister Six that results in Black Cat receiving amnesia, Peter removes the symbiote from his body. Spider-man fights the last members of the sinister six alive, Doc Ock and Electro, and defeats them leaving Harry again angry with Spider-man.

Harry is left examining a strange key which he finally inserts in the wall and unlocks the Goblin lair. Realizing his father was the Green Goblin, he decides to take up his on persona of the Hoblgoblin, and avenge his father.

Somewhere in this Eddie Brock rivals Peter and learns to hate him. He writes Spider-man off as a villain, but after Spider-man saves the day again he is fired and disgraced. He then finds the symbiote where Peter left it and bonds with it at the end setting up the final movie in the series.

The Sensational Spider-man

Villian(s) introduced: Venom,Hobgoblin

In the final movie, Peter battles Harry as the Hobgoblin and Eddie as Venom. Eddie and Harry work together but then when Eddie realizes he no longer needs Harry’s help he mortally wounds him. Harry realizes that he is at fault and he forgives Peter as he dies. Spider-man then fights Venom which has completely consumed Eddie and kills the symbiote.
Peter then marries Mary Jane and it seems that Spider-man will always be there to save the day.

Honestly I haven’t thought much about this last movie, but I thought it would be fitting for Peter to face his closest friend (Harry) and arguably his toughest adversary (Venom).

What do you think? Do you think these would be plausible sequels for the new The Amazing Spider-man? Comments and concerns are appreciated.

I thought about that actually, but I thought 5 movies would be enough. I do like Carnage though.

This was pretty good, well done! The one thing I would change is the sinister six, I'd say have the six be all the villains from the past movies in your universe and have it be: Lizard, Doc Ock, Scorpion, Green Goblin, and introduce Electro and Mysterio and new characters. I'm fine with having the sinister six in a movie, but I think they should be developed, too, and when you introduce five new villains in one movie, that probably won't work out.

Good idea, but for one, the Sinister Six wouldn't work on screen. Too many villains destroys movies. Ex. Batman and Robin, Spiderman 3. My thoughts for the villain for a possible sequel would have to be... Max Dillon/ Electro. We all want to see the Goblin kill Gwen like in the comics but some lesser known villains should make an appearance first, like Electro, maybe even the Scorpion. IF Venom appears, I want Eddie Brock fleshed out and developed. His character should be done EXACTLlY like it was in the Spectacular Spiderman animated series. As for the titles of potential future Spiderman films:

Amazing
Sensational
Spectacular
Web of Spiderman

For all Carnage fans out there. Just to put it simply, he won't work. If Venom didn't work why would Carnage be any different? Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Spidey fan, but being realistic, Carnage would never work on screen. For one, he's too violent and two, there aren't many layers to Cletus Kasady other than blood and gore. Who wants to sit through a gory Spiderman movie? I don't. Unless it was done the way Joker was done in The Dark Knight, then MAYBE it would work, but not likely.

Okay, the thing with choosing between Gwen and Mj. NO. BIG NO!. Don't mess with the Death of Gwen Stacy Storyline. Hated the way it was done in the other spidey films and don't want to see it screwed up again. Like the idea, but, just, no.

I hope they stay away from Mysterio, Sandman, Doc Ock and Kraven for the new series.

Mysterio is pretty lame, Kraven would be a tough sell on the big screen and Sandman and Doc Ock have already been done. With the exception of Green Goblin and Venom, I see no reason why they should reuse all of his villains from Raimi's trilogy.

Green Goblin, Scorpion, Electro/Vulture, Venom, Hobgoblin. I'd be happy with any of those for the series.

no i just wanna see the bridge scene the way stan wrote it. gwen, neck, snapped, kill the goblin.
TheRaven20

My thoughts behind the sinister Six was that some of them could just be minor villians without much back story (Sandman could just be a thug who got caught in an accident, vulture could be another former oscorp employee, Mysterio could be a magician/conartist, etc.). I knew I was taking a risk with the sinsiter six. Personally I really hope we see the Green Goblin done right, and I'd like to see a movie evrsion of Scorpion and Electro especially. Thanks for your comments! This was my first editorial.

Also as far as Gwen Stacy's death, I pictured it similar to her death in the comics with the only exception of Mary Jane being there too. Now that I think of it it would probably be kinda anti-climactic and odd to see Spider-man save Mary jane so quickly after just losing his true love an probably better if she wasn't included in the final scene.

if spider-man was a quadrilogy the sinister six would work.

1st the amazing spider-man (two villains any members of the sinister six)

2nd the spectacular spider-man (two villains any members of the sinister six)

3rd web of spider-man (two villains any members of the sinister six)

4th spider-man:enter the sinister six (all six villains from previous movies vs spider-man & maybe some guest cameo's)

if films like the x-men quadrilogy work with lots of characters why can't one spidey film?
CrossOver

I think Kraven would work wayyy better than alot of Spidey's other foes. Kraven hears of a "Human Spider" and a "Lizard Man" in New York and heads off to go hunt them only to find that Spidey beat the lizard. Easy peasy.

@ moonwalker

In all fairness, Venom didn't work onscreen because he wsn't done right and was just shoehorned into the film. Also, Topher Grace was the worst choice for him. His voice didn't sound imposing in any way, and he wasn't given enough screen time to feel threatening.

I do agree that Carnage would be tough to pull off onscreen. like you said, he's way to violent and gory. He's venom but without a code of honor. He's a crazy serial killer. He wouldn't be done justice in a pg-13 movie.

Get Ultimate out of the title of the third sequel and make a sixth or Venom spin-off with Venom and Spider-Man taking on Carnage and you got a franchise...I wouldn't mind seeing a Spider-Girl film (The Mayday Parker version)...

Well......I really enjoyed it except for the overcrowding of villains in "The Web of Spider-Man". I love how you had Norman kill Peter's parents in the series, though. Oh and about Kraven not working well on film. I think that he'd work better than Chameleon would. That's just me.
