The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer To Debut With Transformers: Dark Of The Moon?

According to one apparently reliable site, the first teaser trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be unveiled alongside Transformers: Dark of the Moon! Hit the jump for details...

According to Movie-List, it looks like the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man will debut with Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon this coming July. The site is apparently both very reliable and very accurate, but as ever, it's worth taking the following with a pinch of salt. What follows is an excerpt from both the article itself and subsequent posts in the comments section by its author. It's a little hard to explain without copying and pasting the entire conversation, but as you can see, an emphasis is put on the "BIG" trailer being Spider-Man related!

Also, there will be a BIG trailer debut coming with 'Transformers 3' for one of next summers major tentpoles. But thats all i'm saying for now. I think you of all people, Spider-Man 101, will be able to figure it out!

See what I mean? For more, head on over to the site. With the latest movie from Michael Bay almost guaranteed to bring in a huge audience, I'd say it's extremely likely that we'll see the trailer this coming July, especially alongside one of 2011's biggest 3D movies. Share your thoughts on this news in the usual place!

With an all star cast that includes Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released in 3D on July 3, 2012!

Hmm. How far along are they in shooting? It could just be something like the first TDK teaser with just voices and a symbol.

If there is, it would be the only reason I would see Transformers 3.

@jymevans - LoL, yeah. I'm glad you noticed. Nobody really catches that term, but I'll be the one to make it popular, lol.

If this is true, I wonder how much they'll actual show. I wouldn't be shocked if it was simply just shadows and movement and then at the end they show a web. Just pissed.

I really hope this is true...but curse you Sony for attatching it to Transformers- a film that I will not pay to go and see...I don't know about you guys in the States but here in the UK, cinema prices are really high :-(
TheGambitFreak
TheGambitFreak - 6/8/2011, 8:19 AM
@RadicalDuck Here, for a 3D movie is like $13-$14 bucks, for a regular movie, it's $10, and if you go before 12 P.M. it's $4, and of course we have the $1 theater for movies that are almost on DVD.
spiderneil
spiderneil - 6/8/2011, 8:24 AM
@ gambitfreak

spidey will be shot in native 3D (filmed with 3D cameras like avatar) unlike thor, captain america, green lantern (3D added in post production) so I for one will definately see this movie in 3D.
KungFuKoala
KungFuKoala - 6/8/2011, 8:36 AM
Well, considering both Transformers 3 and Spiderman were/are being shot in 3D and not a post-convert, then it would make sense to tease Spidey with the only Real 3D movie of the summer.

I would sincerely hope this teaser will be Spidey web slinging out of the cinema screen and into the audience. You'd at least have thought someone over at 20th Century would have come up with this idea.

[frick] yes! It's about time that Spider-Man gets the RESPECT he deserves!! I for one cannot WAIT for this film!
TheGambitFreak
TheGambitFreak - 6/8/2011, 8:38 AM
@spiderneil Good Gosh why! I mean yeah 3D was cool the first time, then it burnt out fast. I'm Surprised Webb is doing that, A Green Lantern film, Star Trek, and Star Wars would look cool in 3D, but Spidey, hell naw.

@MrSuperheromoviefan

Like I said, I want to see Spider-Man get the respect he deserves. Raimi's movies are the one reason why most people in United States think that Spider-Man is a pussy. It's about time that we got a cool Spidey like in every other form of media.

I'll pee my pants if this is true.

@indoraptor12 - the two first spider-man movies are from the best CBM. The third is bad
spiderneil
spiderneil - 6/8/2011, 9:31 AM
with regards to spidey and 3D, I think spidey is one of the few superheroes who lends himself to 3D, especially with the web swinging over new york. I have no interest in seeing and movies in 3D (except dreamworks/pixar animated movies) but I do want to see spidey in 3D.
spiderneil
spiderneil - 6/8/2011, 9:33 AM
SM2 is in my top 3 superhero movies of all time (TDK and x-men first class being the other two) so the reboot (imho) will have to be freaking AMAZING to beat SM2.
KungFuKoala
KungFuKoala - 6/8/2011, 9:46 AM
@BRandom - Incorrect. Green Lantern not shot 3D. It's a post-conversion.

@IronAngel HAHA! I mean I'm 24, and After I saw Avatar, my stomach felt weird, I had a headache, and my wife threw up lol! Then I went and seen Thor in 3D, and I hated it, not Thor, the 3D. And so now I swore to myself never to watch a 3D movie again, plus really Spider-Man, really? It doesn't even make since, now Imax, Imax is the sh*t.
BRandom
BRandom - 6/8/2011, 11:27 AM
@Kung[frick]oala....Really? I could have sworn i read that. Man thats dissapointing. Post-conversion is a waste of money!!
