Margot Robbie Talks About Harley Quinn's Relationship With The Joker In SUICIDE SQUAD
You can't have Harley Quinn without her Mistah J lurking nearby, ready to unleash some mayhem, and Margot Robbie is ready to showcase that crazy relationship between the Joker and Harley in Suicide Squad.
Harley Quinn has been one of the most beloved characters in comics since her introduction in Batman: The Animated Series. Now the mad doctor makes her big screen debut in David Ayer's Suicide Squad. Of course, you can't have Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) without the Joker (Jared Leto), and you can't have these two iconic characters without their controversial relationship. During a recent interview with Total Film Magazine, Margot Robbie spoke about the mad love between the doctor and her Puddin'.
"She is a very cheerful, bubbly sort of person," says Robbie. "A lot of the comments were like ‘She has this unflappable sense of humor. She’s so bubbly. She loves The Joker so much.’ So I definitely didn’t want to lose that. Having said that, David’s approach is the much darker side of the story, so it’s a bit of both. Harley’s story is about her relationships - not just with him, but finding herself and her independence. Their relationship is nuts. It’s terrifying. She’s co-dependent with The Joker, and when you see that, you start seeing it as a mental illness." What do you think about Margot Robbie's comments on the relationship between the Joker and Harley Quinn?
