New SUICIDE SQUAD Photos Show Off Cut Scene Of The Joker's Scarred Face From Oscar Winning Movie
Reshoots meant we never got to see The Joker confront Task Force X, but a display for Suicide Squad's "Best Makeup and Hairstyling" nod at the Oscars has revealed a brand new look at that and much more.
Ahead of Suicide Squad's big win for "Best Makeup and Hairstyling" at the Oscars last night, a display was put up the day before which showed off all the nominees. The photos below (rounded up by Batman-News) offer up a very interesting look at the work which went into the movie, but the fact that The Joker's scarred face is included is particularly noteworthy.
Based on what we know (and can guess from the trailers and rumours), The Joker was supposed to confront Task Force X at the end of the movie after Harley Quinn rejected his advances. Once it became clear that she wouldn't leave with him, he would have made his escape after dropping some smoke grenades, leaving the scarred Prince of Crime's fate up in the air.
However, in a bid to make Suicide Squad less dark than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Joker and Harley received a far more conventional love story. Chances are we'll never get to see that scene featuring the confrontation as it remains on the cutting room floor at Warner Bros.
