In a recent interview with Brazilian magazine Superinteressante, actor Henry Cavill has confirmed that unlike his Batman v Superman co-star, he doesn't turn up in Suicide Squad. That makes perfect sense as it was Batman who put all of the members of Taskforce X in Belle Reeve prison. Cavill did tell Superinteressante, that post-Dawn of Justice, Superman could turn up in the DCEU sooner than Justice League Part One. There's a chance that he could turn up in Wonder Woman, as Cavill stated that nothing was confirmed yet but to "watch that space". This would be a further clue that Patty Jenkins' film won't entirely be set during World War I.
Thanks to yesterday's massive coverage on Batman v Superman from Entertainment Weekly, we now have confirmation that both Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman take place after the events of Dawn of Justice, which raises quite a few interesting questions. Where will Dawn of Justice leave the Man of Steel? It sounds as if this new version of Superman is still evolving, still trying to figure out how to most effectively use his powers- does he decide to train with Batman or Wonder Woman, veteran warriors and skilled fighters? Another question post Batman v Superman is whether the Holy Trinity of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman go their separate ways? Sure, that's what happens to The Avengers after each of their team-up films but who knows if that will be the case in the DCEU. Maybe the seeds for the Justice League are first planted through a much smaller, initial team-up by Wonder Woman, The Dark Knight and Supes?
