The extended cut of Suicide Squad won't be released on Blu-ray until next month, but it has been available on Digital HD for a while now, and fans have been combing through the new footage to see what they can find. A Redditor noticed some interesting things in a shot of the Gotham skyline, right before the movie cuts to the scene with Deadshot and his daughter being confronted by Batman.

As you can see (click HERE to enlarge), The Ace Chemicals factory is visible down the bottom right of the image. This building is almost as big a part of Batman lore as Arkham Asylum, and is regarded by most as the canonical birthplace of The Joker, who fell into a vat of chemicals while wearing the mantle of The Red Hood after a tussle with The Dark Knight. It's also where The Clown Prince of Crime brings Dr. Harleen Quinzel in the movie to complete her transformation into Harley Quinn. The Gotham Chronicle and The Gotham Telegraph can also be seen above that and sightly to the left.

Did you spot anything else of interest while watching the extended edition of Suicide Squad? Let us know in the usual place.

Goes to show that they put in some work on making the world look realistic. Too bad the movie turned out to be crap

No interest in the extended cut but never have a problem with easter eggs. My problem wasn't with how the movie was edited/lack of Joker. Just did not like the style choices whatsoever amongst several other problems (big blue world destroying beam in sky must be stopped! Again!). Look forward to getting this bad taste of a movie out of my mouth and moving on to Wonder Woman which looks very promising.

I liked the movie the first time, but like deadpool, it got worse and worse when I rewatched it, and when I saw it for the 4th time with a couple of friends yesterday, the acting was cringy

Margot Robbie is hot af, but she needs more material, I feel that WB did not want to show the true side of the characters.

The Enchantress is supposed to be a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde level person who is basically a schizophrenic with uncontrolled powers. Not a discount Salma Hayek from Dusk till Dawn who dances and builds a machine that we have no clue about.

Deadshot was good, but he should not be so redeemed, show me him mowing down people after he accidentally kills his brother, and now has no one to trust. Show me how he developed a different outlook after he had a child.

Killer Croc is okay, He didn't really do anything so thats fine.

Diablo was properly characterized but it was a shitty move to claim he found a new family with the squad. They should have shown a soldier who put a bunch of grenades in a bag and was willing to directly go to incubus and blow himself up, then Diablo can say that He did wrong to his family, and that this was penance for his sins, after taking up that responsibility from that soldier. Hell, make Scott Eastwood that soldier!

The movie fell flat because the basic plot was too thin and they had to compensate with bad characterization, and the excessive need to make it like a music video

I still say if you take away every scene of Joker and Harley together, you have a much better movie.
