SUICIDE SQUAD Director David Ayer Responds To A Fan Who Asks Him Not To Return To The DC Films Universe

David Ayer's future in the DC Films Universe remains unclear but when one fan took to Twitter to tell him not to return to that world, the Suicide Squad helmer had arguably the perfect response...

Suicide Squad was a very divisive movie. While it may have been a success at the box office, critics hated it and it's clear that changes made by Warner Bros. in the post-production process to lighten the tone were not a good idea. It's unclear what comes next for director David Ayer; the studio has found a different helmer for Suicide Squad 2 and there was no mention of Gotham City Sirens at Comic-Con.

Last night, one "fan" took to Twitter to tell the filmmaker, "hopefully you'll never do a dc movie. That is why Wonder Woman did great! You suck ;)" Apparently, putting a winking face emoji after an insult makes it acceptable but Ayer managed to find the perfect response to this particular online troll.

As you can see, he praised Wonder Woman and made it clear that he's working on sucking less each and every day. His DC Films Universe future may be in doubt but Ayer has most recently directed Bright for Netflix, a movie which reteams him with Will Smith. Do you hope he'll get the chance to work on Gotham City Sirens or is that movie probably D.O.A.? Share your thoughts with us in the usual place.

@Jaspion - Because you were hoping his response was "Yeah. I won't be directing another DC movie again."

And joel kinnaman looks like he smells like pee.

David Ayer + Josh Trank + Uwe Boll = The Syfy Channel

Keep those three away from big budget films.

@HappyHater - Dawn of the Dead (2004) was an excellent film. Zack Snyder directed that. I can't knock him because I liked 300 as well.
