Superhero Hype caught up with Margot Robbie at the Sundance Film Festival to talk Suicide Squad, and while the actress once again couldn't say too much about playing Harley Quinn, she did drop a few interesting details about her take on the villain. Robbie's role in The Wolf of Wall Street helped put her on the map, with many fans suggesting her for Harley at the time due to her sultry and sexy performance. The question is, how much of that will she bring to Suicide Squad?

"None of those things have been set in stone at this point, but according to the comics, she’s from New York and I think Brooklyn, so there may be a slight… I couldn’t imagine it would be as strong as the Wolf of Wall Street accent," she told the site. "The lingo will be the difference between that and the other character I played in ‘Wolf’ but I don’t know yet. We haven’t spoken about it." Interesting stuff. She needs to watch Batman: The Animated Series. That's the Harley she needs to get her info from. Lots of times it's better to use the comics for how to play the character, but not this time. It can only help her out. I do hope the suit Margot will be wearing is more inspired by the Pre New 52, then the one that Harley is wearing these days.

Ehh, Arleen did the best voice, Tara sounds WAY too high pitched. Harley's voice is high, but Arleen added a bit of deepness in her voice.

I swear this is one of those perfect castings, like Patrick Stewart as X or Gary Oldman as Gordon. So long as she just studies nothing but Batman:TAS and mimics that voice she will be amazing.

I love BTAS but I don't understand why fans want her to wear the classic suit.

You don't cast Margot Robbie and then cover her entire body from head to toe and put white makeup all over her face and her showing no skin at all.

That logic is plain dumb. Use the Arkham outfits (mainly City and Knight) and Assault On Arkham suit.

Usually, I understand about an actor not watching other performances of a character that they're going to be playing, but in this case it seems all kinds of wrong for her not to check out Arleen Sorkin's Harley, since that's the whole reason the role even exists for her to play.

I would very much doubt that she could (or should even try to) emulate the voice used for the character, but she should at least look to the original source material to find out why this character became popular... and someone needs to tell her that, for once, the comics aren't the original source material.

Yep, LEVITIKUZ is 100% right. Still though, I kind of hope they stay away from the New 52 stuff and the Arkham games (even though that kind of tone seems right up their alley). I'd rather they come up with something completely new that manages to still pay homage to the classic look...but don't ask me what it'd look like though, because I have no idea haha.
