Warner Bros. Eyes Director For SUICIDE SQUAD Movie!

While DC Comics properties are seemingly taking over the small-screen with announcements lately, new developments have surfaced for the big-screen. According to Variety, Warner Bros. wants David Ayer (Fury, End Of Watch) to helm a "dark and edgy" live-action adaptation of Suicide Squad.  There have been rumours of this one being in the works for quite a while, but now we finally have some real movement. The Suicide Squad have had many different team incarnations over the years, so it would be very hard to gauge which characters would be utilized -- though the likes of Deadshot, King Shark and Amanda Waller are usually mainstays. Harley Quinn was a New 52 addition that proved quite popular, and that would open the door for a possible Batman crossover. Anyway, all that remains to be seen. Dan Lin is producing from a script by Justin Marks.

I'd be okay with this. I enjoyed Assault on Arkham. I have a big feeling this will be part of the DCCU. I've always wanted to see Harley Quinn on the big screen. Who knows, this could somehow introduce joker back to the big screen. Like a little reference to 'Mister J'

David Ayer is a damn good filmmaker, despite some misses. END OF WATCH is great, and he did pen the somewhat overrated Training Day, but FURY looks great.

I hope they have Deathsroke in the movie. As for who should play Amanda Waller I think Marietta Sirleaf is an interesting choice to play her.

And if DC are dead set on doing a villains film, I'd far rather it was the Crime Syndicate

WB/DC know how to handle their villains on the big screen, so this could turn out Awesome. I'm already more interested in this than Sinister Six.
