Warner Bros. Eyes Director For SUICIDE SQUAD Movie!
It's not all television! The latest developments over at Warner Bros. and DC Comics suggest that a big-screen adaptation of Suicide Squad is coming, and it may be helmed by Fury director David Ayer. Check it out!
While DC Comics properties are seemingly taking over the small-screen with announcements lately, new developments have surfaced for the big-screen. According to Variety, Warner Bros. wants David Ayer (Fury, End Of Watch) to helm a "dark and edgy" live-action adaptation of Suicide Squad. There have been rumours of this one being in the works for quite a while, but now we finally have some real movement. The Suicide Squad have had many different team incarnations over the years, so it would be very hard to gauge which characters would be utilized -- though the likes of Deadshot, King Shark and Amanda Waller are usually mainstays. Harley Quinn was a New 52 addition that proved quite popular, and that would open the door for a possible Batman crossover. Anyway, all that remains to be seen. Dan Lin is producing from a script by Justin Marks.
