Brandon Routh PROBABLY Won't Ever Play Superman Again

But he would... if he was asked!

Firstshowing.net has received information from a Brazilian movie site called Omelete, that recently interviewed Brandon Routh about the upcoming CBM "Scott Pilgrim Vs The World". They got some quotes from the actor about the possibility of him donning the cape again.

Routh (via a rough translation) says that he knows nothing about what's currently going on and, most importantly, that his contract to play Superman has since expired. "But if they call me again, back to the character without thinking twice"

I really enjoyed "Superman Returns". And i thought Routh did a great job as Supes. Of course, the movie could, and should have been much better, but i maintain that if Brian Singer was to get another crack at a sequel he would give the fans what they wanted to see.

Anyway, that all seems moot because its almost certain at this point that if we ever see another Superman movie, it will be a Warner's reboot special! Singer is completely replaceable as director imo, but i think it would be a shame to lose Routh.
