is the "Deadpool style trailer" going to be a thing now? because I'm down for that :P

anyway, I should re-watch the movie and give it another try, I think I've been too hard on it.

Well both movies are similar!

One deals with a careless superhero who, once he gets his powers, tries to fight injustice (though one can argue and will argue that it was his own fault to begin with) and in the end caused way too much destruction and probably killed more people than he saved (including the main bad guy).

Oh and the other movie is Deadpool.

This is going to make a lot of DC only fanboys angry, but I agree, that looks like a more intriguing film to me. One of my problems with MOS was that it just took itself way way way too seriously. Snyder wanted us to take it as a serious Sci-fi movie meanwhile we have a man flying around on his own power wearing a red cape. Part of what made the Donner films good was that they weren't supposed to be so teeth-grinding, knuckles-clinching serious.

@HAILHYDRA

even Nolan knew that even Batman needs some levity, that's why there's the occassional visual gag, or Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Bale cracking a one-liner here and there in TDK trilogy.

I agree with @HailHydra

Maybe not make MOS like IM3 for example but considering we have a film about a hero who dresses up in tights and a cape; if they had humor in a Dark Knight Trilogy manner or Cap 2 manner where the film still has a serious tone but we also still have humorous moments, that would have made the film a lot being.

Also it not being written by David S Goyer would have made the film better.

Nothing will ever make this watchable.

I'm impressed that the editor of this video was able to gather so much of "Superman" talking. All he did in this "movie" was scream.

@Darktower well despite your moronic ignorance, I'm not just another 'Marvel troll hating' I have high standards for any comic book adaptation, DC and Marvel included. DC isn't living up to the potential of what a DC film could be. Man of steel was loud, dumb, and obnoxious; and lacked any depth found in the DC source material.

You can't say that because a film has a cinematic universe (or is attempting to make one) that the film is any good or that the series is going to last. I can spend hours counting off the films that wanted to setup a cinematic universe; I mean we all remember how Sony's TASM universe turned out.

The truth is, I'm not surprised either. You're just another blind and ignorant DC fanboy who will take whatever DC will give you because it's got _______ hero and the DC label. Hopefully one day you'll realize that good films are good films not because of brand recognition but rather excellent film making.

I mean, at the end of the day Man of Steel is one notch above...
