Possible Description Of Superman/Faora Fight Scene From MAN OF STEEL

A user from the SHH forums claims to have some details on one of the super-powered smackdowns from Zack Snyder's reboot. If it's on the level, Supes doesn't do too well against female Kryptonian Faora.

The following comes from a - supposedly reliably informed - user at the SHH forums, who claims to have a source that was on hand for scenes being filmed in Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel. It does gel with those set images we saw from the Plano Illinois shoot, at least in that we know Supes (Henry Cavill) and Faora (Antje Traue) do have some kind of face-off. Thing is, if this is accurate Faora will give Superman a VERY sound beating when they do..

"In line with what I've heard, Superman barely scrapes by in the movie against Zod and Faora and other supposed less powerful enemies, the person who literally beats the bloody hell out of him the most is not Zod (he actually apparently fares much better against the General) is Faora. You know the ass kicking Spider-Man receives from Green Goblin in spider-man 1 what with Tobey screaming in major pain with each punch and knee that Goblin gives him... multiply that by 3 and that's what Faora does to Superman. Or of Omni-Man's beat down of Invincible.

At first they're not as powerful but later on as she applies her fight training and adapts them to her powers, she gives Superman one of the worst beatings a hero has faced on camera... She "Doomsdays" him... literally pulverizing him with precision and lethal strength with hitting pressure-points, nerves and even just outclasses Supes in bare knuckle and gives Supes a severe beat down...he's total agony this entire time, bloody and broken and barely gets away. My buddy doesn't know at all how Superman defeats these guys eventually but he did say that Superman in this film gets hurt a lot more easily than Routh's pre-crisis Superman...the military can hurt him too but Faora pretty much nearly kills him in hand to hand."

Okay, I don't have a problem believing that something like that happens in the movie - the hero always needs something to come back from after all. The thing is, I have my doubts that such a beat down would be delivered by a secondary villain like Faora and not General Zod (Michael Shannon). I guess we'll find out, but for now sound off with your thoughts below.

Cant wait! Seems like they're going with new 52 power set. Same power levels just not as invulnerable.

That's if this is to be trusted because it could be total BS lol

Watch some of you have a hissy fit about Faora handing Supes his ass but that's only logically correct. She's got militant combat training versus Supes who's just throwing punches. She's precise and direct with the abilities of a krpytonian. Sorry Supes, I know you'll come back somehow though.

faora is a trained technical fighter and a veteran... in addition to being a murderous psychotic. clark's training basically involved hauling bags of grain around. and i'd make faora a better fighter than zod, too; he's a general, not a soldier.

this sounds perfect to me.

@aztecRaingod She's not just a female, she's a Kryptonian soldier not to mention a psychopath. But whatever, keep your hugely sexist views. Why should Superman only get his ass handed to him by men and monsters?

I have no problem with this if it's true, I actually think it sounds cool. I just think they would reserve such a beat down for the main bad guy..I mean surely they are the ones that have the final face-off?

Maybe he doesn't want to hit a woman? Then after time goes on and he starts getting bloodied, he's like, "f*** it", then blasts her in to next year.

The only reason she does so well is cause superman won't hit a girl ;)

@JDuke

That's what I figure. She may be significantly more skilled, but Supes is significantly bigger. If the power proportions are the same, If she gets in close and Supes is willing to take a couple more hits, it could be game over, Superman wins.

I don't mind Supes getting smacked around by a female or any other character..just as long as in the end,he defeats them be it by a fist to the face or some other way.

Superman does not always rely on brute force or fighting skill,he's a clever superhero.

It really looks like the so call source got his material from Action Comics #472. Zach Snyder does tend to respect source material he uses in his film, so maybe there is some truth to it. We will have to see.

Are people really saying it's not right he get's beat up by a woman? Seriously? In this day and age? Man, you would all lose your sh-t if it was a black lesbian kicking his a-s...Sexist and narrow minded fools.

And this makes TOTAL sense. Clark was probably raised with values that would limit his violence against women, no matter how evil she was. It could actually be a nice conflict for the character and the audience. Here is our hero getting his a-s handed to him by a female. The idea of Superman hitting a woman probably won't sit right with the audience and the character as well. It will be interesting if they explore that angle.

If memory serves correctly, in Superman 2 only Lois hit Ursa at the end? I remember a battle but I don't remember Superman actually hitting Ursa.

This movie is going to be awesome. I'm a little unsure of cAvill now though after seeing cold light of day. He seems like he would be a good superman but he seems like such a kid.

Shannon is great though. I hope it is like johns run in action where jor el betrays him to the council. I want to see brainiac or parasite or doomsday or something in the sequal though Along with building up lex.

Why does it matter? Woman or not, she's a bad*ss highly skilled soldier with the same powers as Superman. Think about it, Superman doesn't have that kind of training, now if he let Batman train him he would, which would be bad*ss. But, big brute bare knuckle brawlers could easily get their arses handed to them by a highly trained woman. Sex has nothing to do with it (never thought I'd say that) it's not about power, or how big he is compared to her. It's about skill, knowledge, speed, and stamina, and she likely has more than supes because she was trained to. Go build a time machine and live in the 50s if you wanna think that way, because "She's a woman, dur!"

Pffft...the idiotic sexism in some of these comments is mind-numbingly irritating.

I think it sounds awesome. Especially because you know with a beat down like that, there's going to be one hell of an awesome comeback for him to win. Maybe realising his full potential/powers or something like that.

Cannot wait to see some proper action fights from this film!

It makes some sense to me. Usually the leader isn't the best fighter. They are usually the brains and have more charm than brawn. So it would make sense that the number 2 was the fighter. I like it. I just don't like seeing Superman struggle. He holds back most of the time... In Returns, Superman struggled to catch and stop the plane from falling from the sky... that isn't the Superman I like. I don't want him being all world, but he is Superman and withstand almost anything... anything except a military trained Kryptonian under a Yellow Sun.
