As part of ELLE Magazines annual 'Woman in Hollywood' issue Deborah Snyder was asked what her feelings were about the upcoming Superman reboot.

"ELLE: Now you’re co-producing the upcoming Superman: Man of Steel—which Zack is directing—with Christopher Nolan and his wife Emma Thomas.
Deborah Snyder: It’s interesting because they’re a husband-and-wife team and we’re a husband-and-wife team, and we’re all at Warner Bros., yet our paths hadn’t crossed before. But I totally love and respect the work that they’ve done, so it’s thrilling to collaborate with them."

Its not much, but I will take it!

This was just one of many questions she was asked (this is the only one relating to MOS) so if you would like to check out the full interview then go here:

Is Superman: Man of Steel actually confirmed as the title, or is it just something that everyone thinks will happen?

@Ironknight - Man of Steel has been the title since Singer was attached, so in my opinion it is likely to change... But at the moment its MOS

@SonnyCrockett and Justinishulk- Would you guys quit hating on Jon Hamm??! He got two really BIG comic book endorsements 1 from Kevin Smith and the other from Alex Ross. The dude has got SUPERMAN written all over him! He IS the fan-favorite.

furthermore @ "Justinishulk" I would take your opinion more into consideration if you weren't such an adamant Routh-supporter. Routh is the one that needs to be kept away from this new film...this REBOOT oh sorry I meant- HAMMBOOT. Routh is a bad energy to have in the film because people will always link it to Superman Returns, no matter how long it has been. Jon Hamm is a fresh actor who's never been in a comic book film. He's relatively "unknown" he fits the age bracket Snyder is supposedly looking for AND he looks like Superman. And being a great actor is also no small feat either- something Routh could learn from him.

I f*cking hate routh so much man, it amazes me that people either loved that shitty ass superman returns movie, or loved Routh. If you loved Routh, and I dont discriminate you for that (some people eat shit for example, and who am I to say they shouldnt) but you disliked SRs, how can you not want a fresh actor?

And most importantly, how can people say today that they think SRs was a good movie TODAY? Did you not watch Iron Man? Hulk? The batman movies??? Even old crappy batman movies had more action than SRs.

Goddamn superhero movies are supposed to have action, and not a superman getting beaten up by a Lex, making children and lifting a city-sized rock with kryptonyte just around his body. What a disaster OMFG.

Oh and with a whimpy skinny stiff as a rock-piece-of-shit actor portraying superman to make it worse.

@steelrocks30- I agree with you %100 bro. People say they hated Superman Returns yet they want to bring back the SAME lead actor- makes ZERO sense to me too -_-

I've been saying it for months anyway...for this REBOOT...I say- JON HAMM FOR SUPERMAN!!!

@Ajax- Nothing in that film made any sense man. Even if Supes recharged in the sun, he still shouldn't be able to lift an entire island of Kryptonite, especially when in the comics just a small piece of the stuff weakens him to the point that he can barely move.

Among that...I still don't like the idea of the kid...or Supes being a super-stalker.

And I'm still waiting for Superman to finally hit something. LOL

Obi - your picture of jon ham looks like a pedofile with an erection. Just stop it now.

Changing Routh would be like changing the Superman sign. Or the name from Superman to Wonderman.
LP4

@Ajax- thanks :)

@adamcable- Routh has only been Supes ONCE. I don't think changing Routh would necessarily destroy the entire Superman franchise if you get what i mean. The John Williams theme has been more traditional with the Superman franchise since it was first used in the very first Chris Reeve film. It is more closely connected with Superman than routh ever was. They already confirmed they got rid of the John Williams score...so what makes you think changing routh would make any difference to the film?

And please no bashing i'm just asking an honest question.

Reboot is a reboot after all. Rebuilding from the ground-up is the only way to revive Superman. And that obviously means bringing back the same cast would mean it aint a real reboot. No matter how much they may change the setting and the story...as long as the CAST is still the same it wont be a true reboot because the general audience will see Routh dressed as Superman and they will instantly think "SUPERMAN RETURNS PART II" -_-
