We all know that The Man of Steel will be released in 2012. We also know that the directors chair is currently empty. So, I think we should fill that chair with one of the best directors on our generation...Danny Boyle.

Danny Boyle has given us some of the best films of the decade with Slumdog Millionaire, Sunshine, and 28 Days Later. He is known for working on films with small budgets, but that makes him the perfect choice to direct the next Superman movie!

Because he is used to smaller films, that means that he knows how to direct actors the best way possible. He can flesh out all of the incredible aspects of Goyer's script brilliantly! Please help me get the attention of Warner Bros. so we can get a great Superman movie. You can sign the petition at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/danny-boyle-man-of-steel/.

I'm not taking a chance on this dude. I'd rather just stick with John Nolan. After WB took the chance with Bryan Singer- we all saw that train-wreck. At least with the Nolan brothers, we're assured a really good and epic film.

Hey! I just wanted to let you know that I signed it. Although I do see John as directing more, I still think he should be given a chance. :)

Danny Boyle is amazing, 28 Days Later is stunning but I'm just not sure about him directing Superman....who knows, people were excited about Bryan Singer and look how that turned out..

Danny Boyle happens to be an incredible director (go see Trainspotting if you haven't) but his fast pace and constantly moving camerawork would not work for a superman movie.

I think Sam Mendes would be perfect though.

Like I said on the other article about internet petitions, they don't do anything they don't impact anything they just sit in limbo until forgotten.

It's a nice thought but these online petitions can be tampered with fake names and doesn't exactly show the dedication that a real hand signed petition has. Sorry to burst the bubble but these things are silly and don't amount to anything.

I want action in this Superman film. And I concur with what "NightBat" said. We all had faith and highest hope in Bryan Singer to bring us Superman in 2006. Look at us now nearly 4 years later and we're still waiting for a REAL Superman to TRULY return all because that stupid asshole Singer ignored over 70 years of Superman comic book history in favor of the 1st Donner film. I'm sticking with Nolan. Superman is a vastly important franchise to me personally. He's my top hero and I don't trust anyone else outside of the Nolan-ring to bring him back. All the marvel-fans of course want Brandon Routh back because they don't really KNOW Supes. I want this new Superman film to kick ass in a really major way.
