"It will explore a little bit of the past, the present and the future," Peterson said. "We kind of do a little look back to where we've been and we also take a look at where Clark is going."

Meanwhile, Peterson revealed that the episode includes "one big event", adding: "You have to wait for the last few minutes for it."

Apparently we should also look for James Marsters to reprise his role as Brainiac that week, "You get to see a little bit of the old villain that we all love," said fellow producer Kelly Souders. "But with a new twist."

Smallville premieres its 10th and final season on September 24 on The CW.

i reckon flying or suit, i think the episode with supergirl back, is before the 200th episode, so she'll help him with his final mental block, and we get some flying action during a big fight

or he tries on the suit and we all have one messy geekgasm and have to change our underwear.

After 200 episodes, a "one big event" moment. Long time coming.

@I episode 200 is like the fifth episode of season 10, so not even a quarter of the way through the season, not the last episode at all.

The previews for season 10 definately show the suit prominently as well as flying...I'm sure we will see flight first before suit...so with that being said and Kara being in an episode earlier than that then we'll get flight before 200...I'm thinking we either get to see him holding the suit or donning it for the first time...I'm also guessing that's the episode we get to see John Schneider since 100 is where he died and they are looking back at where he's been...

I'm hoping that he'll get the costume and the ability to fly by the end of the 200th. At least then we'll get a pile of episodes focusing on him actually becoming Superman rather than just the very last one! IMO, it'd be far more interesting to actually see him developing his identity as Clark Kent and Superman rather than just seeing him in the costume for the last five minutes of the finale! That's how I feel anyway I! :P

Haven't watched any of Season 9 yet, waiting to get the set, since I don't have cable or satellite.

@DeathWalker: You have the most distracting avatar known to man. I could watch that all day long.

I am looking forward to this season. If more of you would come out of the Smallville closet you could enjoy it for what it is with no shame involved. ;D

I found this at AICN. It definitely is not news but it is most certainly worth watching if you want to laugh so hard you crap your britches. ;P

I'm not sure who this teabag guy is, but I've noticed he really doesn't care for Smallville. I don't know what his problem is because I think it's safe to say that Tom Welling is the greatest actor of all time. :)

A Smallville "big event" is usually ridiculous like Lana coming back for the 5000th time...

"Smallville sucks......at showing Superman!!! lol "

Of course, people who think that is what Smallville should be about are going to be haters, but that is not what Smallville is about. Smallville is about Clark Kent's journey to accepting his destiny and then he will become Superman, which will toward or at the end of this final season. If he became Superman sooner, it would pretty much defeat the purpose and mission of the show. The people who enjoy Smallville are the people who understand this and get it. For the others...your loss. ;-)

My guess is this episode will be like the finale of Star Trek TNG, where they show flashes from the past, as well as Clark in full costume with the rest of the JLA in the future. By that time, he's really Superman, flying and everything.

Then in the next episode he's back to being Clark in this time, still wondering if he should put on the suit.

My take is this... the last episode ends with Clark/Superman going to the 31st century and helping the Justice Society just like in the cartoon.
