Could Lex be back?

I found this nice little bit of info while we have a wee look about.

Is he either keeping mum, so that it'll be a surprise...OR is it really that hard for him to come back?

In a recent interview with SerieAstenTv, Michael Rosenbaum says that he is open to the prospect of returning to "Smallville" but it is difficult to determine exactly what he means:

Says Rosenbaum, "You know... that's a tough question. I don't know. We've tried to work things out. I don't know if they're going to work out. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. I never say no to anything. I don't know. I'm open. It just has to work out right, it has to be right. So if it happens - I miss the guys, I love the crew, the cast. I had a great time. I was there for seven years, a lot of people don't realize. I was there seven years. I thought I was finished, but who knows? You never know."

That's quite a bit of information from the actor to neither confirm or deny a return to the show. Speculation tends to favor a reappearance of Lex before the final season ends.

"Smallville" airs Fridays at 8PM EST on the CW.

He said no. I'll take that as a bucket of salt. Smallville wouldn't do it.
